Bec that was the other position he played in HS.

And bec that is where he could help the team better. We have WRs, we could use the depth assistance at Safety.

Kiehl was a lot of things, but I don't know if "afraid of contact" is one of them. All he was basically asked to do as a QB was take the snap and run straight ahead into rushing linemen and linebackers. He seems to get mentally overwhelmed quickly with too much information coming at him when asked to pass, but he never seemed to mind being the aggressor and running into someone. JMO.

I understand that is one of the positions he played in HS. How deep are y'all at TE? I just figured he would know the offense better at this point than D. Also a friend of mine, who is a huge AU fan, said it was kind of ironic that the same day KF announces his move to safety, that Demetruce McNeal is good to go for his first practice. Gus just may be a genius after all.

I agree with that. He looked ok with contact when he was playing the wildcat roll.

We are good. Gus doesnt use a TE in the tradional sense anyways.

Maybe so, but watching him stare down the pass rush of opposing teams instead of looking for receivers just gave me that perception.

OMAC was afraid of contact...not Frazier.

He said "if" DM was milking his recovery from a staff infection, this may have motivated him to start practicing.

I think that is more of a mental weakness in not being able to process a lot of information. If he only wanted to run to the edges, I might agree. But if asked to tuck and run to get a couple yards, he never seemed to have a problem with that...not really much for him to screw up there.

I'm a little surprised that KF is moving to defense. Gus was all in for him after that bowl game in 2011 vs Virginia. Last season apparently damaged that kid beyond repair, at least at the QB position. Good luck to him in the future.

Cant. He's so strong he flattens the ball everytime they snap it to him and so fast that he always outruns the blocking.

Seems to be that way, at least according to his quotes. Props to the kid for at least wanting to stay and try to contribute to the team anyway he can. Could have just said frick it like Clit Moseley and quit. He'll play some sort of role for two more years, get his free engineering degree and go on to be successful. Not a bad deal.

I wish we'd have done this on Jordan Jefferson. He made a great open field tackle on CJ Mosley that one time

Isn't one of your competing qb's a converted DB? By the way, as afraid of contact as KF was, why the move to a position that one has to be a thumper? Other than him knowing he would really never have a chance to display his hitting ability. Wouldn't TE be a better position? Seems like that transition would be easier to make than moving to safety. Oh well, good luck to KF in his move.

In the past TEs had to play H-Back which means they've had to knock the shite out of people. I'm not sure KF fits that mold.
