Sumlin’s buyout currently sits at $10.4 million, without an offset or stretch provision (meaning he would get it all in one lump sum within 60 days of his dismissal). The contract also has a separate agreement with #YESSIR, LLC, a company Sumlin is the President of. Sumlin’s contract states the school must pay #YESSIR, LLC corporate payments through December 2019.

What does this mean? Like this llc is what tamu is making the checks out to, and then buyout would too? So they pay his corporate taxes etc??

I'm not one to advocate for "govt intrusion," but sometimes it's needed. Maybe not the fed govt level, but the ncaa or at least the P5s need to agree to some limitations as things are getting out of control in these contracts. I get salaries, but things like this are a bit much. The ncaa or something needs to protect the chump ADs who have no corporate negotiation experience against some of the best agents in sports.

Education Admins vs slimy Agents...no wonder it's gotten bad. One would think a state school would have more oversight.

Gus is back for sure at this point. Don't think even a loss to ULM would get him fired at this point with our AD out going.

We are having a decent season and MANY coaching changes will be going on this year. Best for us to give him another year and see what happens next year.

Jim Wilson should have to pay the buyout himself since he's the person most responsible for the contract.

If there are two blowouts to our rivals that attitude about how decent this season is is going to do a total 180

With that buyout they should just keep him for another year. I mean he can win 6-8 games and will a new coach top that next year?

Dare I say "I like the way you think"?

Great thought, but in reality he paid for the right to be there and make the choice.. just gotta get some new leadership and move on to better days.

Wilson will tell you how great the decision was with A&M making more money than ever under Sumlin's watch.

Now, $1.5 million of Sumlin’s annual compensation goes to the LLC, which has formally claimed ownership of the YESSIR! hashtag and granted the university the right to use it, as well as Sumlin's image, in ways including on merchandise.

Hey old school...what was ya'lls score yesterday?

TCU had their way with us and there was nothing we could do, kinda like the Dom's posting up on your girl while you watch... neither have a thing to do with Sumlin.
