Tom Cruise was at an LSU game last year. I think it was the Florida game. He was shooting a Jack Reacher movie in NOLA.

The 2016 Tennessee team will be a bigger flop than Waterworld.

Isn't his band also coincidentally playing in East Tennessee?

Kevin Costner is friends with Dave Serrano from him CSF days and is town playing in some type of rock band at Cotton Eyed Joes. I shite you not.
Costner played baseball at CSF. And the band is Modern West. I've seen them perform twice. Actually quite solid.

Burt Reynolds was just here (at Neyland/UT) shooting a film. Lee Majors and the guy from Three Dog Night live near by (that guy plays in a band with locals at a local BBQ joint for fun ). Matt Damon worked as a bartender here for like a year to get the accent down for The Rainmaker. The guy who created Men in Black is from here.
One of the foremost Italian director's (think he does horror but am not sure) lives in Knoxvegas. His daughter who is director in her own right is also based here.
Brad Pitt hung out in Maynardville, TN to get into character and of course there's Tarantino. Harrison Ford's in-laws live just outside K-town and he fishes on our lakes. The guy from Serenity spent a lot of time here due to his best friend (that's where his authentic-sounding accent comes from).
There's more but you get the point. K-town sees a lot of actors and famous people likely because they can blend in and study the accent or just hang out without being bugged.

Nah, dual-sport. He'll be playing on the Golf and Baseball teams.

Met him back at A&M. Seemed like a tremendous A-hole.

Wasn't October Sky filmed near Knoxville?

Part of it was filmed in Knoxville. You can see the Tennessee theatre sign in the background.

Yes. Tons of it was filmed in the Oak Ridge Area. IIRC, the original working title was Rocket Boys.
