They are rarely topics on here but it would be pretty cool to see them win a sec title.

If kentucky could have gotten stoops 5 years earlier there were a few years they might have won the east. They would have most likely gotten their dicks stomped in by the west in the SECCG but that still would be a great accomplishment from where they historically are in football. I would say a much tougher accomplishment than the browns winning the super bowl. Hell people thought they were going to be contending after bakers had a decent rookie year and signed OBJ.

Yeah, the past two or three years weve just been a game away feom taking the East. We arent far off.
Wish people would stop grouping us with Vandy. Thats more Mizzou and South Carolina territory of late. UKs been finishing 2/3/4 past several seasons.

Mizzou and South Carolina, who have both won the East?

Yes, and who Kentucky has 6 game win streaks over, Carolina breaking theirs last year v us with the infamous Sawyer Smith lying about being injured in 3 places. Go watch the film. Mizzous still active. Yeah, those schools.

Kentucky has probably the top OL in the SEC this year. Top 3 defense. One of the best RB corps. I dont know what the frick some of you have been watching but this isnt Bill Curry Kentucky and hasnt been for a few years.

Good point. Now the east is getting tougher. But heck, we have gone from being the laughingstock of the SEC to having a punchers chance in almost every game. I'll take that for now. We finally look like we belong in the SEC. If Stoops had followed Rich Brooks...IF and Buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

UK is fine now in the trenches, you just need to find and develop a QB to win against the better teams consistently.

Kentucky has been incredibly snakebit with injuries and just bad luck over the last three seasons. They could easily have had three straight wins over Florida, but went 1-2 instead. If this were a normal season, I don't think it would've been outlandish to pick them in the east

One game away 2 years ago, and who knows what last year would have looked like with a healthy Terry Wilson. Same for this year, but who knows if we are going to play.
Some bad luck.

They're not allowed.
It's in the bylaws.

SC / 5-4-3 = 12
UK / 4-5-3 = 12
Gamecocks have lost to Vanderbilt 4 times ever in SEC play. Wildcats have lost to Vanderbilt 4 times since 2011 alone.
I'm all for UK winning the East if it ain't USC but let's all take a moment to realize that it's Tennessee that's been playing on Vanderbilt's level in the occasional seasons the Vols actually beat the Commodores of late.
