Kentucky MBB working on replacing Louisville with Gonzaga

For a Christmas Eve or Day game as it appears that Louisville is canceling their game due to Covid.

UK better be careful. Cal will use this as a chance to permanently remove Louisville from the schedule.

So he can add a team he will beat 100 percent of the time. He’d play Bellarmine five times a year if he could.

I have a feeling Gonzaga is going to turn it down because they want a home and home. And nobody wants to play in their HS gym at midnight EST. They won’t agree to a neutral site.
There was rumor they were going to slide in Bellarmine but then KSR announced they want a higher profile opponent. Also some talk they’ll tentatively agree with Bellarmine but if a higher profile opens up they’ll take it. But still give Bellarmine some OOC games in the next few years which would be better than the directional bunch we’ve been playing.
Problem is most of the big boys are already scheduled for this week and don’t want to give up days off around the holidays for their players.

Gonna play Western to raise money for Tornado relief. Looking forward to it, especially after they just kicked Louisville's arse. They might beat us but it should be fun.

A legit cancel instead of a Penny is a bitch cancel? Sucks for fans but at least they didn't drive 10 hrs to see their son play or travel 4 to take your kid to a game to celebrate his bday only for the other team to wuss out while your team's still on the bus.

I like the WKU game. Hell, I'm honestly more excited for this than I am if it were Louisville. Dead serious.
