There's no guarantee that he'll say yes.

He could become HC at Cincy if Fickell goes to ND.

No..but at least he’s going after the best.

I could see him getting Freeman if he doesn’t get HC position.

Hearing he will be Cincinnati's HC when Luke Fickell takes the ND job.

He will not be joining Brian Kelly at LSU if Notre Dame offers him the HC job. It all comes down to who Notre Dame wants as HC.

Surely he won’t turn down LSU two years in a row.

ND people are pushing hard for him to be their HC and if Fickell goes to ND Freeman will stay with him

No ties to the SEC footprint

Ohio State (2010)
Kent State (2011–2012)
Purdue (2013–2015)
Purdue (2016)
Cincinnati (2017–2020)
Notre Dame (2021–present)

Maybe Kelly can do what Eddie O couldn't and pull in Mason. We sure would hate that as Auburn fans...

I dunno about that... You'd think he'd be pissed...

maybe take the Cinci job or head to LSU...

Who knows though.

And neither did Saban before LSU hired him.

I think he's going to need one. I was at the Notre Dame vs UNC game this year in South Bend. They had zero pass rush and no answer to a mobil QB doing designed runs

The fans there were not impressed at all with their team. I think I've said it here before (after my trip) they're no where good as their ranking and totally overrated.

When Elko was there the defense was salty and carried those teams.

He should honestly take the HC job at ND but I'd love to have him

He told LSU yes, his wife on plane ride home said hell no to him working with Orgeron.

He won’t get Freeman or Elko. So who is his third choice? Freeman will either be HC at ND or Cincinnati if Fickell is at ND.

Elko is with the better coach, and his next job will be for HC as well.

Ok so you’re saying we should hire Elko instead? Got it. Consider it done

You couldn’t hire Elko if you tried. His next position will be HC not a lateral move

Do any of you really think that Notre Dame would hire a 35 year old DC with no head coaching experience? Yeah, it sounds good but I just don't see it.
