I read somewhere else he was 4-13 in Top 10 games. Strangely, two of those wins were last year in back to back weeks.
It’s not strange, he’s at a better job now than he’s ever had.
And by the way I don’t know how old you are, but Notre Dame is hilariously better off for having had Brian Kelly than they were when he got there.

Ole Miss is neither an FCS or Group of 5 school.
Nor is it an Auburn or LSU
EDIT: That reminds me, are we NOT counting the two years in a row he beat BAMA while at OM?

Auburn is somewhere between Ole Miss and LSU as far as jobs go.

If they played an SEC schedule, they would win 6-8 games a year.
The media has always loved them and the recruiting gets plenty of bumps in the rankings because of the name.
Kelly left because he just couldn't get the players to South Bend and get over the hump.

Saban is on his way out. You're going to be 7-5, 8-4 football team after he leaves.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly gets the boot before Saban retires.

Maybe, but

Yes that’s true
With divisions going away a strong Auburn now benefits LSU more than not so fine with me.

Auburn is too inconsistent and they haven't had back to back 10 win seasons since 88-89.
They are the type of program that when they get the pieces together, they can have a great season but the next few years go back to mediocrity.
But Unlike Ole Miss, they take advantage of really good opportunities and get good results such as win the West or SEC.
Ole Miss can beat Bama twice and have enough talent to win the SEC but screw it up by losing to few teams. They waste opportunities.

Kelly has never competed in a top 10 matchup with equal talent…

What do you call the game just a few days ago? Didn't he technically have MORE talent than FSU on paper?

They looked equally talented to me.
If LSU was more talented then it was razor thin.

Yep, worse coach ever. But he beat Bama's arse last year. How embarrassing is it to be a Bama fan?

Most of that was at ND. Can’t win there in this era consistently. Context is important when making dumb posts.

Yeah, sort of. The Domers (and I know far too many) were really glad to see him go. We all know they have an overly inflated view of their status in the college football world so that drives a good bit of it. They all felt he was personally unlikeable and also not the guy to elevate them back to the national title hunt.
I am old enough to remember watching Notre Dame beat West Virginia for a natty with my Catholic School buddies. That is where they think they should be every year.
I also remember watching them vanish under Bob Davie, Ty Willingham, and Charlie Weiss. Kelly did a lot to dig them out of that hole.
