DeBoer is recruiting pretty damn close to Saban and he's been on the job less than 6 months.

At least you have a balanced opinion from an outside perspective. Most Bama fans thinks he should have the job handed to him on a silver platter, no questions asked.

I don't know about a silver platter but it should definitely be his job to lose. He had Bama on the brink of the NC game and beat two time defending champ UGA to win the SEC. He's not perfect but he's proven himself under tough circumstances. People can say what they want about the game winning throw against Auburn (lack of a pass rush...etc) but it took balls of steel to make that throw in that environment with everything on the line.

Milroe was an average SEC qb last year. Hopefully he has improved

Nah, he was pretty good.

Not sure why this board thinks Beck and Milroe are bad to average, they were both very good last year for first time starters.

He ended up fifth in Heisman voting. There's room for improvement but he was better than average.

Because he was qb at Alabama.

He produced the #70 ranked passing offense in the nation last season because his passing is erratic.

7 Three stars right now committed to Alabama

Did you look at multiple recruiting services and add them up or something?

He completed 66% of his passes for 2,834 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. That's roughly 10 yards per attempt.

Then he tacked on another 531 yards rushing with 12 touchdowns.

For comparison, Bryce Young's best completion percentage was 67% and he never averaged more than 9 yards per attempt.

Milroe was pretty dang good.

Bryce Young’s shoulder was injured most of 2022 and it impacted his game. In 2021, though, he passed for 4872 yards, with 47 tds and only 7 interceptions. Young was a much better qb than Milroe is.

Milroe is extremely inconsistent. He has some great plays and some horrible plays, sometimes in the same series. He can’t read defense before or after the snap, he’s a one read qb, he often doesn’t even see wide open receivers. His best attribute is that he’s pretty fast, but not really quick.

No doubt, but Milroe's completion percentage was still basically 1% less than Young in 2021. And Milroe also had more yards per attempt.

He isn't average.

Composite 247 here you go, the composite which is what everyone uses unless they have some little agenda they are trying to push by referencing a single service. And that's what the team rankings use

Thread update: Alabama just landed another highly rated 4 star bringing us up to #4 on On3 and #3 on 247.

Many people expect us to land 5 star Ty Haywood soon. DeBoer is COOKING
