I sort of wish I could be there when it dawns on them they can't cut it in the SEC at QB. I would be like "you see dumbass? We all tried to tell you months ago."

From the UA stand point if Blake Sims plays this year that will at least be an example of us playing a quick qb.

they didn't lie....they told him he'll have a chance. He soon realized his chance was slim, but a chance nonetheless. RS wasn't going to play QB no matter where he went.

I don't blame LSU for doing it. Everybody does. We'll probably reassure him that he'll get his chance at QB and things will work out.

If he goes to LSU, oh well. I just can't get too worked up about a single recruit anymore. I don't look at the recruiting board much here but I just did and there's a thread titled, and I'm not making this up, "I'm sorry but my heart is gonna hurt if Landon Collins doesn't come to LSU." There's even mention of some man tears and man tears are totally unacceptable in recruiting. Its only ok at the Grand Canyon.

Not sure they lied, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the kid wasn't going to play QB in college. To bad he's really the only one that believed he could. He could have been more dynamic in numerous other offenses IMO.

If he wants to be a QB he should go to a spread option team. Does he even have a decent arm?

It is not as if the coaches were surprised. They simply told him they would let him TRY to win the job. It cost RS (and LSU) a year of experience in his best position. However, LSU fulfilled its commitment to allow him to give it his best try.

RS tried for a year, saw it was not going to be, and switched.

No coach guarantees any position. LSU was willing to allow him his attempt. He did.

the rb might be kinda sad but nothing is worse than grown men on a recruits facebook page. even college aged ones on a recruits page is creepy but grown men like some ginger auburn fans are the worst.

That's not really the point. That "chance" is nothing more than an empty promise that coaches make to ensure they get a signature. If the top OT recruit in the country was telling coaches he always wanted to try out QB, I guarantee you they would be lining up down the street to promise him some snaps at QB in practice. All the coaches in the SEC seem to do it. It's very disingenuous and I wish the kids could see through it.

We didn't. Hell Randall is a lot like Shepard and the only difference is Randall is a QB.

I understand. I wasn't bashing LSU in any way. The kid was a dumbass for not going to a spread team though.
