Honest question, I thought OU had a stronger strength of schedule. The ISU loss should have never happened, but it did. We went through a few games where we would get up a couple scores and then try to coast. It cost us against Iowa st.

If you were in the SEC West, you would have had at least 3 conference losses.

Who would have beaten us? Bama? Auburn? Who else?

You might not have noticed but Fromm is already sharing snaps with Michel and Godwin. Fields will get his touches because Kirby isn't an idiot.

Straws you are dense.

So you're going to bench Fromm for Fields...? After Fromm manages to help get you guys to the Championship? That would make zero sense.

Of course, benching Fromm isn't the plan but both will play. Whatever happens will decide who reigns supreme. Fromm seems most likely but that is to be determined.

Quick question - last true freshman to start, and keep his job without a hitch thru his JR or are season?

Im not understanding why freshman QBs are getting promised playing time their first yr. Seems people are chasing their manziel, newton or mayfield. Jones did it with JG.

There are literally a fan (who I was talking to directly) saying that Fields will take over the job from Fromm.

I think you're the dense one here.

Same question I'm asking. The freshman got you to the playoffs, with a great running game. Then you tell him he's splitting time with a true freshman in his sophomore year? Harbaugh will be all over him the following offseason!

It still doesn't make sense to me -- and if Kirby did this it'd be a really bad look.

I don't think he will, because I think Fromm is the unanimous starter next year no matter how well Fields practices, but could definitely see Fields getting some touches like Tebow did -- heavy packages in the red zone and the like.

Ya, I can see packages for the young guy to play to his strengths. Keep him out of pressure situations aswell. Dance with the one that brought you.

Well if you had to make promises to get his commitment you can easily paint yourself in a corner like that. Where have we seen that happen before?

No doubt, honestly hasn't crossed my mind until you brought it up. That turned out well for us!

He has bust written all over him IMO. But he is a great kid irl. Really intelligent, well spoken, respectful young man but I just don’t see him being elite at the next level. Just my opinion...

I think he will be a bust like Driskel was at Florida -- being forced into an offense that he's clearly not built for. However, I don't think, or at least I can't see Kirby doing the asme thing Muschamp did. Or at least I hope he wouldn't do it.

Fields isn't the type of quarterback that Fromm is -- who can drop back and survey the field. A lot of Fields' greatest plays are when the play breaks down and he's moving around and things are gettin' crazy, and he's so big and athletic that he can't be sacked.
