There’s just no place in the game for this type of dangerous hit to a defenseless player. Launching and leading with the crown of the helmet to the head or neck area ticks literally every single box of the definition a targeting penalty.

I know it sucks to have him out of the game against Bama when LSU will need him to keep the game within 14 points. But we simply have to protect QBs in this premier league in America. And we have to protect players and their futures.

If the fans really think it’s the wrong call, then they should call the league office to appeal it and get it reviewed. Also, call your AD. Whatever school you go to. And have them call the SEC office to re-review it.

In the end, truth wins out.

Well said sir.

The fact L7U fans are showing such blatant disregard for player safety is just sad.

it was reviewed at the game by the SEC office. So I am not sure any suggestions you make are acceptable. Most good teams have a quality backup ready to play. I don't see coach O saying anything, just their lame AD and a few LA politicians

Bad example. That's offensive targeting in the NFL, but not in college football. We're talking strictly about defensive targeting right now.

Except that none of this happened.

This topic has jumped the shark. And not a cool shark like Jaws, we ended up with Jaberjaw.

The sad thing is you have zero shits about the guy from Bama hitting yours with a combo.
