One of the funniest Sportscenter moments of ALL TIME.
Rauf had hit like 8 3's and Dan Patrick deadpans... "The Rauf, the Rauf, the Rauf is on fire"...

Quite simply, best scorer in SEC since Pistol Pete.

Easy for "certain" people to say when they haven't walked in someone else's shoes. If you don't like the truth, you shouldn't have watched!

You can laugh all you want at him getting LSU to a final four since it never happened but if you were lucky enough to see him at LSU you would know he was one of the best college basketball players of all time. Was he top 10 no but i put him in the top 15 over the last 50 years.

Jackson was a great college player. Such a pure jump shot. String music.

Arkansas guards miles and miles better than Chris Jackson:
Sidney Moncrief
Ron Brewer
Alvin Robertson
Darrell Walker
Patrick Beverly
Joe Johnson
Checking out the number of NBA games started by each player compared to Jackson is your friend

Not sure what happened to him in his adult life but he was a great high basketball player at Gulfport. His Coach Bert Jenkins said in practice one day Chris Jackson made 100 consecutive Free Throws….
Well that is nice you say…others have done the same.
But here is the kicker. He was blindfolded when he did it.
Of course, he was a tremendous player at LSU before going off the rails later on as a NBA player.

Stevie Wonder was All Southwest Conference at Arkansas back in the day before he hit it big in music!

My honest opinion is that Chris Jackson was overrated. Brown just put 4 guys around him to rebound and let Jackson do all the shooting. He was still impressive for hitting so many shots, but there were likely other players around the nation who would have been just as good, had they been allowed to shoot every time. I also think it made LSU a worse team, because the defense only needed to guard one guy and Jackson was no MJ.

What?? When did this happen?
Believe it or not we’ve been to 4 final 4s and none of them were with Shaq, Chris Jackson or Maravich
