Kirby has a shot and Mullen could get lucky enough. I don’t think Orgeron will be able to do it again. Rest of the league HC’s are garbage besides Kiffin but he won’t win a NC at Ole Miss.

It's cute that you actually think that.

Jimbo, Ed, and Kirby are just an Excellent QB away from playing for that big ole trophy

LSU and Auburn also had opportunities in 2005 and 2017 respectively, and got throttled by Georgia in the SECCG.
I love to GOT THROTTLED jab but if you did that as a history lesson on LSU vs UGA in the SECCG... you left these throttlings out.
2003 - LSU 34 UGA 13
2011 - LSU 42 UGA 10
2019 - LSU 37 UGA 10

the only thing in our way is bama. If saban isn't around in this hypothetical then the answer is obviously kirby.

Not sure why the Aggies are being mentioned - and truth be told, I have nothing against the Aggies BUT
they had a great 2020* season due to Covid when many other teams either were depleted due to Covid or had players sit out.
If they continue to build on this season, sure why wouldn't they have a shot. Just remember two seasons ago, they were 8-5.
Yes, 8-5. Georgia on the other hand loses 1-2 games and have already played for the trophy.

I was mentioning teams that were highly ranked but lost in the SECCG.
In the examples given, LSU was #3 (and lost by 20) and Auburn was #4 (and lost by 21).
In the years you mention, LSU was the higher ranked team in every instance.

you should know by now you can't mention anything even remotely unflattering aout lsu or the tards of their fanbase will let you hear about it.
I think most people with a brain understood the point you were making, but alas. LSU was a far, far, far better team than us in 2011 and 2019, I would damn sure hope they would win handily. It'd be like us beating our chests and bragging about the beatdown we put on arkansas in 02. Like I would sure as hell hope that's how things went ha.

No doubt. They were arguably pretty close to getting in this year.
Also, whether we like to admit it or not, sometimes it just takes luck, in terms of other teams having injury issues, a bad game, or even just the bounce of the ball in a crucial situation.
Under the right circumstances, Jimbo (or really any of the coaches already mentioned) certainly seems positioned to pull it off in the CFP.

Y'all said the same shite about Tubs, Chizik and Malzahn and now some Yankee from Idaho is going to get it done?

Like your parents dreams of a down syndrome little girl holding down a job at Arby's instead of humping all the pillows in the house and sitting on the washing machine during the spin cycle?
