and who's your take as the next SEC HC to win a National Championship? Is it Kirby's time or Dancing Dan @ UF... maybe jimbo since he's pretty settled in a1m? I'll give it to CEO with my SECW pick and Dancing Dan as my SECE selection. One of those two will get it.

Have a great week!

Only Kirby, Ed, Dan, and Jimbo have a chance (other than Nick)

Without Saban, it is:
Kirby (it is there for the taking if UGA can get out of its own way).

Then, likely Coach O or Jimbo.

Then, no others in the near term. CDM is a clown. He will not get all of the stars to align no matter what he does or where he is at.

Jumbo with ATM should be the answer. When they came to the sec I though with all their resources they’d have a couple of sec championship by now. I don’t understand why they have not made the jump yet.

Kirby or Mullen would be my guess.

LSU is on average playing in a national championship game every 4 to 5 years. Since 2003. If you set aside Bama I think we know the answer. Unless Georgia can finally get it together. I’m not counting them out this year but something tells me UGA is going to UGA at some point.

Not gonna happen but I'd love to see Kiffin and the Rebs in the mix.

Sport your program is in a fight to keep pace with the Hogs, Ole Miss, and Miss State.

Based on talent and playing in the East, I'd say Kirby as well.

Problem though, is that right now he (or anyone) will most likely have to go through Alabama to get there.

Really since the SEC Championship was created, this conference has had the most difficulty getting out unscathed just to have the opportunity.

Florida, for example, was a buzz saw under Spurrier, and Alabama had decent teams that weren't able to consistently get by them in the 90s. Same in 2008, until they finally broke through in '09.

LSU and Auburn also had opportunities in 2005 and 2017 respectively, and got throttled by Georgia in the SECCG.

Regardless of the coach/team, it's just really, really hard to get out of the SEC and into the CFP.

UGA is due, but they always choke when getting close. LSU could get there with good coaching. I don’t know what A&Ms problem is

Put TAMU in the east and ask Kirby to try and coach his way out of the West every year. Then we can discuss what's wrong.
