only if you guys install a completely new offense. you're probably losing your offensive player of the year (as well are we losing our defensive player of the year.)

Me too. As much as I hate Dallas (and the whole state of Texas in general) I am excited to check out that stadium.

Glad you had a great time. My brother was able to make it out there and said he had a great time with the Oregon fans. Wish I could have made it out. Great analysis btw.

Dont worry; I'm sure if Dyer had dropped the ball thinking he was down and oregon had picked it up and run with it people would be bitching on here about a rule change

Or as evidenced by au in many games this year, play until way after the whistle.

The Ducks played well but Kelly made some bad calls. The announcers were all over his nuts but going for two just to do it was beyond dumb and going for the fourth down passing up the easy three was also kinda strange. If Miles had done that it would be all over the news for weeks.

Ahh...you are still butt sore because I put Tulane in its place a while ago. I'm honestly stunned that you still remember that. You must not get out much I take it...

lol wut?

that allowed them to later TIE the game when they NEEDED to go for 2. had they not gone for 2 "just to go for 2, they'd have still been down 19-16 after that TD.

So what you're saying is if a guy lands on top of a pile with the ball, but never hits the ground, then he's down?

Only if he's on the other team and the game is on the line.

How could the field be so bad? That is a regular NFL field. What is the story on that? People were slipping all night.

Maybe something to do with it being a natural field with the roof closed.

Great post. I agree with everything you said. I too think AU pretty much was in control almost the entire game and probably should have won by more, however, Chip Kelly made some very good and gustsy calls that gave Oregon a shot at the end.

I think Oregon played a heck of a game and as good a game as could have been expected of them. Oregon played very hard and had a great season. I will pull for Oregon the win the Pac10 next year and have another great season. Oregon earned my respect last night.

The over-the-shoulder pass by the LSU holder to the kicker a couple years ago is still the best I've seen as far as the trick plays.

Safety Eddie Pleasant brought Dyer down (even though Dyer didn't touch) and I think that should be considered a tackle (in NCAA at least)

except he didn't "bring him down". he thought he did but the refs obviously saw he didn't.

btw Kelly lost this game. 4th and 1 and not taking the basically automatic 3 pts was a 9 point swing.

Guess how much the ducks lost by? That squandered 3 points became HUGE at the end.
