and each team will be happy with whichever one of the two they get. Cracks me up that EVERYTHING always has to be about "ours is better" amongst fans.

If you look at Julio. I think you'd know he works out a lot. On the other hand though. As much as he is hurt. I'm sure he didn't lift a ton.

Broken Hand, broken collarbones, hernia.

If that was affecting him, he didn't have to bench. You can dip out at any time with no consequence.

Julio is a gym rat, but 17 reps isn't up to even Julio's standards. He had been putting up 20-25 practicing in 'Zona...

Stuff is trickling in for me, I haven't heard anything on TT.

I heard Ingram did 21, and both of WV's mighty mites did 23+...

Disagree, shows how much they frequent the weight room. The falls under commitment to excellence and staying in condition. It also determines endurance.

Have you listened to Saban and the rest of the players talk about Julio the past three years?

And WTF does bench press have to do with conditioning and endurance? Some of the most conditioned athletes on the planet probably can't throw up 225 seventeen times.

Jesus Christ, I'm 39 and can do 15 reps at that weight.

Dumbass comments like this are made every year around this time. When will people realize arm length is as big a factor in lifting numbers as anything else. I'm sure you're not 6'4" like Julio is either.

The bench press is a test of strength -- 225 pounds, as many reps as the athlete can get. What the NFL scouts are also looking for is endurance. Anybody can do a max one time, but what the bench press tells the pro scouts is how often the athlete frequented his college weight room for the last 3-5 years.

Tell them to call Saban at his office on Monday if they have any questions.

Any idea what typical reps for WRs have been in the past at the combine?

Typical WRs aren't 6-3 220 and look like Julio...

Considerng how good AJ is at pushing off DBs, I would expect nothing less in teh bench press.

Do you honestly want to sit here and compare 1 draft pool to another?

Each are different, no one draft is the same.

Oh, and Greg Little, who is basically Julio's size and similar arm length, tied the record at the Combine for most reps by a WR with 27...

It is pretty easy to look strong when you are pushing a guy's head. I have no idea why facemask is such a huge deal on defense, but is suddenly not dangerous at all when offensive players go to the heard.
