Good point. The state had to raise all these taxes just in order to not lay off half the school until Jan.

So LA didn't raise taxes on Cigs & charge a higher vehicle fee.

It doesn't matter when someone "draws a paycheck," or "is paid," initially for an employer. He went with TAMU coaches to recruit on behalf of TAMU and as a result violated multiple sections of his LSU employment contract.
It's plain to see and this is legal window-dressing. TAMU will pay up, or Chavis will. Period.
It doesn't take a legal expert to prove that Chavis-if we give folks the benefit of the doubt and say that he was still an employee of LSU-damaged LSU's reputation by appearing with TAMU coaches in TAMU clothing recruiting on behalf of TAMU. In so doing, he violated the terms of his LSU contract. He'll then have to pay up.
If the folks who say he had left by then-and you can quit a job-or be fired and/or dismissed-without official notice-are to be believed, then he's still in violation of his contract and must pay up.

No, no, taxes were raised. I really don't feel like educating you on this topic at the moment though. Maybe later tonight.

So what I said was true. Glad we got that cleared up. I really hope you figure something out before Jan rolls around and you're off "life support" per your prez.

Hmmm, she would have to pass the smell test first.
It she didn't completely offend my olfactory senses, I would bend her over and slam that shite.
...then wipe her drool from the hood of my truck, and drive through Sonic for a Master Blast on the way home.

Chavis hired that Beluga to represent him?

It's unfortunate that he had to say it like this. I think he's just trying to make sure that the 11% of LSU's total budget given to LSU by the state does not drop in the next administration.
Blowing it out of proportion and describing it as on 'life support' is totally inaccurate. He's just grandstanding and lobbying to ensure future state budgets include what they have always had for LSU.

Nice legal analysis chief. But actually, it's not quite that simple, and to say LSU clearly has the legal high ground is just flat out wrong.

What is the standard that is used in Texas that gives Chavis a better chance there?

I have yet to see an aggie provide a convincing counter-argument to what the Funky G-man just posted.
