Not sure if mentioned but rumor is he fought Marshall Taylor
You're not serious, are you? That would make this the 2nd straight year an Auburn skill player was dismissed for fighting a teammate.

But what if the DA didn't bring charges?
And what was Jovon charged with? But Gus isn't a disciplinarian.

The party line when he signed was he fit Gustavs system. That it was a perfect fit.
I thought the party line was that Gus adapts his offense to his players.

Props to Malzahn. Not many college coaches will cut a star player unless he's in jail, and some won't even then. I hope Kirby has that kind of discipline when the time comes.
IKR. Miles kicking off Tyrann before the 2012 season (deservedly so), and Perriloux before the 2008 season, derailed at least 3 years of LSU ball.

We lost to UF 13-6 and Bama 21-17 in 2012. LSU would have most likely been undefeated going into the SEC championship game that year with the former college DPOY/heisman contender turned future All Pro and #1 NFL safety. His ability to turn the game around at the drop of a hat was almost like magic.
Perriloux
Would have given us bumper years for Lee and Jefferson to grow for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. He was instrumental in our 2007 national championship year with an impressive stat line of 68% 694 yards 9.25 YPA 8 TDs 2 ints 4.0 YPC 207 yards 2 TDs. He started in the SECCG and beat Tennessee by completing 66% of his passes for 243 yards and 1 TD to 1 int.
In 2008 we lost by 2 pic 6s to UGA, 4 ints (including a pic 6 and OT int) to Bama, we lost by 1 point to Arkansas when true freshman Jefferson had to start on the road in his first ever college start. While we would have still lost to UF, the Ole Miss game would have at least been a game. A 10-2 and possible 11-2 finish with the bowl game would have not been out of question.
The OL and RBs were more of a problem in 2009 than Jefferson who actually did very well considering all that he had going against him, but I think LSU could have actually gone undefeated with a redshirt senior Perriloux in his second year starting.
We lost by 10 to Florida because we couldn't even muster a lick of offense and all Tebow did was dive plays. We lost by 9 to Bama in an extremely frustrating and poorly officiated game. Jefferson and Scott were knocked out and helpless Lee couldn't do anything. We also lost by 2 to Ole Miss in the "clock it" or "Mississippi Meltdown" game, and lost our bowl game by 2 in that sloppy mess of a field.
Give me Perriloux that year and LSU is at worst a one loss team that year. Then instead of ruining both Lee and Jefferson in mediocre 08 and 09 seasons, they would have been 3rd and 4th year players in 2010 who learned behind an LSU great. That would have made a difference in the 7 and 8 point losses vs Auburn (champion) and Arkansas (Sugar Bowl participant), respectively.

Yet nobody has any idea why. I know it wasn't an arrest.

Gus has lost what little control he had.

How is that? He just let one of his best players go for no public reason at all.

Think how talented a football player Jovon must be to have fricked up this many times throughout his high school and college career and still have so many chances from so many colleges.
Frick man.
Frick man.

Yeah but the frick-ups he had (if he had that many) weren't public knowledge.
I see kids waste talent every day and it's very frustrating.
