"What (Brian Kelly) has drawn is a lot of haters, but there's a difference between the garden variety haters and the nervous hater.
And I've sensed a little nervous hating on Brian Kelly, what people wanted, especially rivals of LSU, what they really wanted, at Auburn, or A&M, or Alabama, or anyone else around here, Florida, was they wanted Notre Dame Brian Kelly coming in here because right or wrong, most people down in the South were confident they could handle Notre Dame Brian Kelly."

And now there's a little nervous energy around here that is being masked as "Haterade" because a lot of folks have always known that the only thing that separated Brian Kelly from making noise in the College Football Playoff, even up North, is a different caliber of athlete."

Kelly told Pate at SEC media days that there were some things he had to reinvent about himself, especially as it relates to recruiting, to effectively compete in the SEC.

That’s called recruiting, and it doesn’t seem to be a problem for ND’s new head coach. 15 commits inside the Top 250. Almost twice as many as LSU.

- Ed Orgeron (a shirt ripping caveman) was 10-25 as a head coach... It took him 3 years to win a natty at LSU.

- Les Miles (a grass eating moron) was 28-21 as a head coach... It took him 3 years to win a natty at LSU.

- Cuck Sabah (yankee cross dresser) was 34-24 as a head coach... It took him 4 years (lmao) to win a natty at LSU.

Brian Kelly is 263-96 as a head coach.

Dear SEC, spread em.

think thats not true of course brian kelley come from different competition going be much harder big test for him in the sec totally different ball game no pun indented.. seem like also he is in hardest division in hardest conf course the man coaching isnt always the whole picture have a look at Mr Oregon who won a nat champ, undefeated, not brightest light bulb there is or best coach but lsu is a good place to win... LSU has good history developing athletes plus no shortage good athletes from louisana... other hand look at mike leach course ms state is different then lsu but seem like had big trouble adjusting cant just pass all time got to rely on more defense in sec course the game changes more emphasis on passing ball now with strong qb arms plus fast receivers... still what work in pac 12 dont work in sec... afraid brian kelley in for rude awakening

Is that a step up for ND to have Freeman as the HC over Kelly?

The only reason to be nervous is that he might grind his arse on you and video it.

lsu scary in general since turn of the century... been putting out real good ball teams every year minus a couple years... even w oregon yall won championship... all about having fastest strongest athletes these days and adapting to the constant changing nature of the ball game... days of run the ball run the ball run the ball are long gone... those teams with out good qb left in the mud... been arkansas problem many seasons in addition to bad coaching just couldnt get a good arm behind the center had to rely on defense and todays day in age defense sometimes dont amount to nothing.

ND was in the top 10 of schools putting players in the NFL under Kelly. The argument that Kelly had a lesser caliber of athlete at ND is pure bullshite. Josh Pate is saying that shite because Kelly gave him a sit down interview.
