He did like all cowardly media pundits do. He acts like he’s one of the people. But he caters and cowers to Saban. He’s a coward. Period

I agree with Josh about Alabama going back to powerhouse football. They will run the ball at will this year.

No one I've listened to, who talks about college football endlessly, has been more complimentary of teams, generally, than Pate.

Like I said, he plays like he’s an outsider unbiased and doesn’t do what every other media pundit does. Then Saban smiles after a press conference once and everyone(including JP) folds. Typical. Go with the easiest pic

They’ve never gone 3 years without winning a natty under Saban. So it’s kind of a safe bet. But they lost to LSU last year. LSU was terrible last year. So maybe a decline of sorts has begun.

He's a Georgia kid actually. He did the sports for years in Columbus and also had a late-night spot where he and a buddy covered the SEC.

He's good with his camp intel and handicapping games. There's not much info out here to get position changes with folks who actually know the names of players and assistant coaches. So good for Pate.

They better, because they’re certainly not passing it at will

I bet they can pass at Will Martinez's defensive backfield. They get one of those this season.

Didn't Jalen Milroe throw 3 TD passes vs. TAMU? Wasn't that as many as any team on their schedule?

It certainly isn't an outlandish pick. Bama still has the best roster in CFB. Like every year, a team with a top 6 roster and clutch play from either the defense or the QB when they need it most will win the NC.

Dear Lord. If pate does anything he's generally too complimentary of everyone. You idiots that think (hope) Bama is going 8-4 need to get back into reality.
What you don't want to hear is what happened
Bama got soft
Bama got too pass happy
Bama relied on Bryce for every play
Will Anderson was mis utilized
The linebackers were used in pass coverage vs being extra rushers.

You saw it, you just don't want to admit it.

BAMA fans want back in the fight. These last 2 years have been an exercise in finesse. Enough of that nonsense. This is BAMA football.

Frankly, Coach Saban took the pass-happy approach too far to stay physical. Because he was so committed to scoring points, Golding was far more tolerated than any assistant of the Nick Saban era.

I also think they have too many questions to pick them to win the sec/ natty. QB is a MASSIVE question mark not to mention all the other talent that they’ve lost. Don’t have confidence in their offensive coordinator. And yes I believe they’re soft. And no I don’t think they’re going 8-4. I think 10-2 is more likely.
