Nice, this was one I really didn't know which way it would go. The others I pretty much expected, with the exception of Smith, who I figured would declare.

No not at all. He was pretty much a depth guy, but a guy who worked his arse off, coaches loved, etc. Golding pretty much said in the preseason he wasn't as skilled as some other guys but he's smart and knows where to be and all that stuff. Normally that would kind of be "yea, yea, whatever" but for us, obviously, it would have been a big deal to have this past year.
Either way, nice to have a guy like that on the roster. Not sure how much he'll play, but I'm sure he'll see the field.
Mainly just seems like a great kid who is smart and works hard.

Looked up his 247 and he reminds me of how Bama had amazing depth at LB and just constantly replenished the position. A name to keep an eye on next season.

Sure didn't last year
But yea, he was one of those depth guys that was going to be forced into a starting role....but as a veteran with all the knowledge. And then he ripped his knee up.
