Hell you don't even need rich parents for this... I had some acquaintances in school who shouldn't have been spending a dollar in the soda machine that spent money they didn't have on crap like big screens, and ski trips, and cash meant to buy food that semester to take to a casino in Louisiana (smh several times over what a couple guys spent on jewelry for a girlfriend). This isn't some kind of amazing picture for a college kid, esp compared to the ones with star athletes that really aren't typical college kid pics.

Kid's doing it in the open and that's shady? Lot of scared people in this thread. Keep grasping for it.

I'm sure if he gets in serious trouble again people will point to all this stuff to use against him, thats the only risk i suppose if he would want the benefit of the doubt in those situations, otherwise its just kids going to a casino legally, but I hope for A&M's sake they would take action on the twitter stuff for Johnny considering the public eye he is now under, and regardless its always a risk for 95% of these players that use twitter, and they wouldn't want something stupid to cost him playing time or reflect on A&M poorly. Just best to shut it down now. Better to be safe than sorry.

The real problem is an IRS issue. If you win money at table games in casinos, you do not receive a 1099-G like you would at video poker or a slot machine. But, you are legally required to report it as income. I know that most people who win at table games are not fully reporting their winnings to the IRS at tax time. But most people are smart enough not to tweet out a pic of a handful of cash. That's inviting the IRS to look at you. And unlike the NCAA, they do have subpoena power to get the surveillance tapes. Now, they probably won't do it, but if enough people talk about this, sure they will.

Would a Texas cop look the other way when JFF has a beer in his hand and he's underage? Probably. Does the IRS care who JFF is? Probably not.

The behavioral issues are what the NFL looks at when they evaluate a player for a draft pick. A player who likes to visit casinos is less desirable than one who doesn't, no matter who they are. It doesn't matter if he won the Heisman and beat Alabama and Oklahoma in the same year. A QB who plays cards in casinos is a definite risk.

No harm no foul...
He isn't doing anything no other college athlete is doing and you could find their information on FB. But alas some people are stalkers of young men
