My wife is an Aggie and even she thinks this is a joke

you're right
that's why we suspended him for half a game.

Well, I meant for the Alabama game, but honestly, you can barely call this a suspension. Sitting 2 quarters is a suspension by technical definition alone. He would have only played 2 quarters of that game anyway, just this way it will be the last 2 instead of the first 2.

Soooo...the NCAA met with JFF, cleared him of any wron doing and the school suspended him for a half?
Have they (A&M) officially given a reason for the suspension?

Ive admitted 50 times here that he did it over the past three weeks. Im just saying we get to say he didnt, because the NCAA said he didnt
No reason to slam aggy over this. There isn't one school who would have done anything differently. Yeah, John Manziel is a total POS; no, he's not stupid enough to deposit checks that can be traced. Time to play football.

Now if this was against a legit team it would be looked at as a suspension......but Rice happened.

Nobody is surprised they failed to prove the payments. This suspension however is absurd. It's worse than not suspending him at all. If you don't suspend him you simply say you found no wrong doing and it's done. By suspending him for a half, the NCAA acknowledges wrong doing while sending the message to everybody else they don't have the teeth to do anything about it.
And I'm very much on record saying I didn't want JFF to miss a snap over this whole thing, so I'm not saying all this as an opposing fan who's upset he'll be on the field.

except HawgAlude, but he's an Auburn fan so it doesn't count
