dunno why some are so upset about a kid blowing off steam on social media. this has got to be one of the biggest non stories in recent memory.
I think it's more about the entire off-season in general.

Agreed. It was a stupid thing to say but we will be having another thread like this two weeks from now after the next stupid thing he comes up with so no reason to let it rustle our jimmies. When he does something that legitimately threatens how we perform on the field then I'll care.

He's a peckerhead, but he's our peckerhead.

Do you really think it's about this single incident?

You don't think offseason shenanigans effect on-the-field play?
I'm not saying it will. But all of this hype combined with him apparently not being able to handle it (referencing the "walk a day in my shoes" comment) could certainly effect his play. It happens to athletes all of the time on every level.

Using last year and the build up to the cotton bowl as precedents, no.
He's been pulling shite like this from the word go tbh.

At this point, I'm not so worried about it affecting him, he's a cocky shite, and that cockiness leads to great plays on the field, and is the case with a lot of great QBs. I think now it is a point where it could possibly alienate the team. By some accounts I've heard, he wasn't the most likable guy on the team before he was even named the starter.

Do you think johnny could get away with stuff like this if he was qb at bama? If aj ever tweeted I can't wait to get out of tuscaloosa, I would tell his arse peace, and I feel saban would do the same.

i dont know if these shenanigans will effect his play but what it does show me is mental weakness. i dont know how hes going to hold up if shite hits the fan. like if we get upset, or he throws a big time interception, etc. thats what im worried about

I thought you Aggies were like family and stuff. I can't believe that this is OK with you guys. He' not really in the family is he?
Just a mercenary then? Sort of like some recent Auburn QB???

oh you mean all the other non stories trumped up by blogs and ESPN?
oh noess!!!!!
a rich kid meets other rich famous people once he became famous?
a wealthy kid gets kick arse tickets to sporting events from his parents?
a student takes online classes just like every other student is allowed to do?
oh shiiiiitttt!!!!
A&M is fuuuuuuuucked!!!!!!!
Like I said earlier in the thread, I'll worry when he gets in trouble with the law or fails a drug test.
This other stuff is just manufactured garbage rammed down our throats from a star fricker media that loves nothing better to do than create easy to write reality tv style non stories laced with faux outrage.

I think we can all agree that this offseason would be prettu bland without Johnny and his antics. He just needs to win games now.

I'm not saying that it can't or wont effect him but I don't think it will.
We were told that he was gonna suck it up in the Cotton Bowl from all the bullshite he did leading up to that game and he did just fine. Johnny knows his celebrity status will fade if he doesn't perform. He'll get it done.

My little brother was a walk on player when jff got there and he can't stand the cocky shite. Hell of a player, but no saint.
