At one point we were getting daily gossip reports that wreaked of jealousy toward a freaking 15 year old kid.

I remember reading some of that garbage on VN a couple years ago and you're right, it was embarrassing to see grown ups writing that about a kid.

Me too. I always like to see local kids do well. Sometimes they need to get out of the area to flourish, which I think might be the case here.

Yep. Not only do I always cheer for local kids, no matter where they end up, I always try and look at recruiting that way. Some kids really just need to get away from their home towns to flourish while some do well staying home. We've benefited from a lot of those who needed to be somewhere else so there's no use getting upset if one of our own needs room to spread his wings.

This is why Texas A&M is known as the Little Brother Aggies.

Still bragging about such insignificant things such as Chavis.

Keep up the moral victories Little Brother Aggies. Maybe one day yall can have a real accomplishment to brag about like a national title.

Chavis will never be an Aggie in Tennessee. In this case, that's good for your school.

He's there to personally watch his 3star LB recruit who's already committed to Aggie...............shouldn't he be scouring all the recruiting resources in Texas?

Went to TAMU for a semester before transferring to West Point versus someone who is alum and coached here for over a decade. Yeah Neyland has real solid ties to TAMU. lol. But yes, he is from Texas.

Everybody know Chief wants to retire in College Station, Texas. With 2 or more National Championships.

He may move back to Louisiana or Florida or South Carolina to die. No one amongst us could nor would blame him for this. 'Tis kosher.

...but we ALL recognize, realize, and accept that THE CHIEF wants to retire as Defensive Coordinator at Texas A M C.

So basically he'll die at his desk in College Station. The story will be a great tragedy.

LSU has been stacking the NFL with talent, repeatedly having the top defense in the conference, and getting top recruiting classes but that was all in spite of Chavis. He literally did nothing to contribute to any of those achievements.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

Honestly, that's more on Corey Raymond IMO. LSU's NFL talent is mostly DB's, with a few exceptions from the Chavis era.

Chavis is a quality DC, but I'd freak out much more over losing Raymond.

Chavis left us with a dearth of lbs, his position of specialty.

Backyard?
You don't have a front yard when it comes to recruiting.
