For example, when a team is behind you expect their QB to have more stats. When a team is ahead all game, you can expect a QB to have less stats. Because the games aren't played based on trying to get your QB the most stats, it's based on winning.

Oh please. I've never heard you effin hypocrites talk about game flow when directly comparing stats. Both QBs played the same D and Joey lit that same defense up more than Simpson did. Stop it with the BS mental gymnastics BS.

Tennessee can't lose.

Former State fan turned footVOLs epxert! What a turn around in a few weeks.

strangely, he didn’t reply to this post

Why was the OP a State fan just a few weeks ago.. with a username that includes ‘Grind’.. but is now dick riding the Vols?

Better throw this one in the trash and start a new one. See you soon.

Tennessee 's o-line is going to dominate the Bama dline and our dline will get the upper hand against their oline and that is why we will win.

Both QBs will have good games imo but Tennessee has the better overall line of scrimmages.

Typo but it's true. Vols have the best lines on both sides in the conference besides Texas A&M.

Last time i checked is there are more than one player on the offensive line as well as TEs and RBs responsible for blocking so having 1 player responsible for blocking being listed as a "preseason" AA only accounts for 20% of the blocking duties at best.

And why don't you pull Proctor's or the entire O-line's PFF vs FSU?

And why the hell are you pulling some story off of some obscure Oklahoma sports website. Heartland Sports? Really? A website with 9 comments total on all of their stories over the past 2 weeks? Can you find a more obscure unread source?

You are quoting stats without context on the strength of the opponents.

FSU is #29 in the FEI power rankings.

Teams Tennessee has played tougher than that:

#2 Georgia

The rest of your schedule:

#66 Syracuse
FCS ETSU
#122 UAB
#44 Miss St
#43 Arkansas

The rest of Alabama:
#128 UL Monroe
#73 Wisconsin
#2 Georgia
#23 Vandy
#17 Mizzou

FSU is the 4th most difficult team Alabama has played and Tennessee's 2nd best is Arkansas that recently fired it's HC.

FSU had 3 sacks in their win over Bama and 2 in their OT loss to Virginia, 1 in their 6-point loss to Miami, and 2 in their 56-point win over Kent State. They did match their 3 sacks in their with 3 in their 74-point win over East Texas A&M. They have only had 1 game where they had more sacks than they did against Bama, and that was in their 3-point loss to 3-3 Pitt.

Vandy had 4 sacks in their 16 point loss to Bama. They had 3 in their 24-point win over Virginia Tech, 2 in their 24-point win over South Carolina, 3 in their 20-point win over Utah State, 3 in their 49-point win over Georgia State and 3 in their 42-point win over Charleston Southern (so Bama was a season high for them so far).

Missouri had 4 sacks in their 3-point loss to Bama. They did have 5 in their 9-point win over South Carolina. They also had 2 in their 11-point win over Kansas, 1 in their 36-point win over UMass, 2 in their 42-point win over the team formerly known as Louisiana-Monroe, and 2 in their 55-point win over Central Arkansas. So, they've had one game where they recorded more sacks than they did against Bama.

There is some context for you.

I want to play the what if game.

If Ryan Williams hadn't dropped some wide open bombs, Ty would have had more yards.

See how stupid that is...

QBs on every team has had a number of dropped passes. How many catchable tipped balls has Ty had that have resulted in INTs?

That's not context, you didn't even include Tennessee.

Ok...here is Athlon Sport Preseason Top 25 OL Rankings:

Alabama is #5...Tennessee is not ranked. But I'm sure that the earlier point that Simpson has significantly more sacks because of the OL's poor performance (and Aguilar is mostly benefiting from his OL performance) is still relevant.

It is context. You said that Bama had high sack numbers because of the strength of schedule. I'm pointing out that their opponents had as many or more sacks against Bama than they did against inferior competition. The context shows that, Bama struggled with their pass rush more than most of the other teams they faced.
