Is anyone else doing the projections since stiffarmtrophy.com stopped doing it?

I'm sure you're awfully butthurt about having more Heisman Trophy winners than Alabama.

Heisman has cracked down on voters releasing results early. Don't think anyone can get a strong sense one way or another.

I'm sure you would have been incensed had LF7 not shat the bed down the stretch and won the Heisman Trophy

sure i'd be happy he won it if that was the case, but no my opinion on the award wouldn't change.

Big push on social media and in the national media to give it to anyone but Henry.

Not sure if it's Alabama fatigue or SEC hate or what.

He may win it, he may not. I hope he does, but I won't be too broken up about it if he doesn't.

The Heisman is as much about politics and hype as it is merit.

I'm proud Alabama's athletic department is the only school not putting out some big PR campaign though.

Our official policy should be to ignore the Heisman crap, and if they award it to one of our guys, so be it. Worrying about it is "clutter"

The whole reason stiff arm trophy shut down is because the Heisman trust got really serious about telling their voters not to make their ballots public before the official announcement.

They never cared before hand, but with people projecting it (and getting it right every time) the ceremony was a let down so now if you are a voter and you reveal your vote you are likely getting it taken away.

As such, voters are hush hush.

I'd imagine Henry or Fournette would have to, if Saban or Miles let them return kickoffs.

Keep in mind that 2600 of Sander's 3000+ all-purpose yards were rushing yards. McCaffrey average 80.2 kickoff return yards per game dude.

I don't give a shite about the award... it represents a lot of what is screwed up about CFB... rarely does the player with the best season actually win.

So...does this mean Fournette watches on TV?

Can't they just do silent exit polling though? If no media pundit or former winner tells that they revealed their ballot, the trust can't punish anyone.

You can make a decent case that the best player in CFB won in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.

Who was better in those years, then? Maybe Luck at Stanford in 2011? Cooper or Gordon 2014?

What that tells me is that they have a collection of weak leg kickers in the conference. Is no one booting that bitch out of the end zone for touchbacks?

Yeah I know him breaking the record is kinda suspect. He also did it in two more games than Sanders. But he still broke it

You may think that's the case, but it's not. What they are actually doing is trying to drum up interest for the televised event. ESPN isn't stupid. They know the event has lost its luster.

Like a mercenary, thug QB with allegations of pay-for-play swarming around him all season winning the award when he is clearly the best player in CFB?

I actually think Henry should get it

he has the best offensive player on th best team argument going for him

And i think he had the pure numbers to deserve it. He has a lot of fricking yards.

I still think LF7 is a better running back, but Henry had a better season.
