No, I'm not saying any cheating is better than another kind of cheating. What I am saying is Saban didn't really have to provide evidence when he said A&M bought their recruiting class because NIL deals are out in the open. If Saban or any other coach cheated in the pre-NIL era, there needs to be at least some evidence provided because it wasn't just done open and obviously.

Paying players Pre-NIL was cheating and was under the table because it was against the rules. And Saban was doing it.
Paying players With NIL deals is legal per the Supreme Court. There are rules and regulations, and it is out in the open for everyone to see. And Saban is also doing it - and he was also breaking the rules by talking about Bryce Young’s deal at fundraising event - because that is Advertising an enticement, prior to signing.

I love this. We need evidence on saban cheating because buying players was hidden.
But now that we can legally pay them we don’t need evidence of cheating. Makes perfect sense. Now that’s there at legal means for 18 year old (formerly) poor kids to buy nice things we don’t need evidence of cheating.
