Those results put him in “proven elite power 5 coach” territory. They just do. That can’t even be debated.

It's just rumors. FSU AD would be nuts to want to get rid of him without a viable replacement in the wings.

3. (This isn't talked about enough) The specter of Bobby Bowden. Even though Fisher won a national title at FSU, he will NEVER match Bobby Bowden's success there (Bowden is the 2nd winningest FBS coach of all time...winningest if you remove the vacated wins from Paterno).
I would think the last few Bowden years/forced exit would have paved an easy path in this regards for the next man up
I'm guessing this is just an early candidate faux media pump and not legit. If true, I'd be doing back flips if I were an Ag, that would be a huge pickup.

I'd jump at the prospect of Fisher, but sometimes these rumors are just cover for some quiet discussions elsewhere.
Of course, much to our disadvantage, doing something quietly at A&M is not in our DNA.

Jimbo is good for 2-3 losses every year in the ACC. As bad as they might be, Arkansas isn't Wake Forest.

No, Wake Forest actually has a BCS Bowl win and a conference championship in the last 20 years. Also, Wake is 5-4 and Arkansas is 4-5 this year.

I don't see it happening. A&M AD called out their coach early in the season in public basically saying he needed to win so many games. What coach wants to jump at something like that? Otherwise I could have seen it happening.

He has a good relationship with the AD. Not saying it’s happenes but the AD is a selling point not a deterrent.

A coach who has a solid relationship with that particular AD.
If you remember (and has been posted in this thread), Red McCombs flat out said that Charlie Strong wasn't qualified to be a head coach less than a year after he was already hired.
