I won’t try to change your mind...put your money where your mouth is Daniel. Actually don’t because it’s probably on some guy named Biff at the Dixie Chicken. Any amount you want that LSU goes 7-5 this year...I’ll take the over.

The AD should be fired for giving a guy $75 Million and then allowing him to schedule so many cupcake opponents, and before anyone replies with stupidity, HCs have about 95%++ input on the non-Conference portion of the schedule, so don't make any stupid azz remarks that "the AD makes the schedule", only naive & stupid folks would believe that

Yeah I could see State knocking them off. But you have to think at some point the Aggies will have a good team. Schedule really sets up for them the first half of the year.

It’s a private Christian university (affiliated with the Church of Christ) that competes in the FCS. They were NAIA back in the 70s-80s, then D2 for about 20 years then bumped up to the FCS in 2012 or 2013 I think.

You mean the AD that's currently at LSU? At the time the 2020 schedule was created, Colorado was the PAC 12 South Champions and Fresno State was a 10-win school.

I believe Clint Longley played there. He was the hero in that Thanksgiving game between the Cowboys and Redskins.Threw 4 td's iirc. Also, Wilbert Montgomery of the Eagles played there. He was a pretty damn good running back.

Wouldn't surprise me if Miss State pulled an upset.

Honestly that’s not a huge upset IMO. that’s just one west team beating another. Doesn’t really effect who goes to Atlanta.

That is one ugly stadium.

Looks like a mish-mash, hodge-podge, make it up as we go along contrived mess.

I heard from USL players that Kyle was a dump in the past, but it seems like one of the nicer venues in the SEC now. They had big renovations (2013?)

most of the games for the next 5-8 years were set up before Jimbo was even hired

Why yall always bring up Jimbo’s salary every time his name mentioned?

There’s a ton less deserving coaches making nearly same and one way less deserving making more (Harbaugh) yet crickets on those guys

Hmmm;
1,2: Dabo and Saban- multiple national titles and playoff appearances (at the school paying the money).

3: Harbaugh at Michigan- yep, overpaid, but elite-level program who hired a Super Bowl winning coach.

4: Jimbo

5,6: Kirby and Gus- at this level, we're talking almost 10% less than Jimbo. Both have won their divisions multiple times, the SEC once, and have played for a national title.

7: Herman at Texas- 10% less, and won the Sugar for Texas.

8: Brohm, Purdue- ok, clueless here. I guess Purdue wants to spend money?

9: Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma- more than a million dollars less, 3 straight playoffs, multiple Heisman winners and another finalist.

10: Dan Mullen, Fla- about 1.5 million less, poached from a conference rival to try to make the Gators contenders again.

So from that list, Harbaugh and Jimbo stand out as overpaid, with Brohm in the WTF category.

How come Texas didn't recruited them?

Wilbur Montgomery is from Greenville Ms. Not a hotbed for Texas recruiting. Played on the team with his cousin Cleotha Montgomery who had a long career with the Raiders.
