He looks like Nicolas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas in some of those photos.

What traditions should we disband to make you happy? Aggie Muster? Silver Taps? Yell Practice? March In? The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band? The Aggie Ring?
All but the band.
I can only guess that you're unaware of some of these. Aggie Muster is basically a memorial service held all over the country for Aggies who have died in the last year. (Oooh - that's horrible, right?)
Silver Taps is along the same lines, though more solemn. It is an on-campus memorial service for students who have died in the last month. (GET RID OF IT. IT AIN'T SEC!)
If you don't like March In you're a terrorist. Sorry I'm not sorry, but it is definitely true.
Aggie Ring - you're welcome to your wrong opinion.
The only thing in that list that is remotely weird is Midnight Yell Practice, but it is only weird because millenials have gayed it up so badly.

He looks like death.
This thread has been much kinder than the one about Miss St's new coach and the pick with his family.

You guys try too hard with all your fake military & ROTC type nonsense and trying to have ceremonies for everything. 86 the uniforms and haircuts and make-believe military stuff, and stop pretending there's some great crucible of experience that takes place on your campus, and just get your asses down to MEPS and sign the contract already. Virtue signaling is still virtue signaling. Get down range and shut your yappers, and maybe when you come back you'll have some perspective and understand how your culture of make believe is not respected by anyone.

See above.

The fact you think marching is impressive helps explain why A&M is middle of the pack and dominated by Cajuns holding a binder.

Pathetic cries for validation are pathetic cries for validation.

You've gayed up everything there.
I respect the academics there. You would be better off to laud the academics than your try-too-hard nonsense.

I'll skip over all the fake military nonsense and just point out that Muster and Silver Taps have little to do with the Corps. For on-campus Silver Taps, the Corps comprises something like 3% of the student population. I don't know what the participation is like now, but when I was in school when dinosaurs roamed the Earth the majority of attendees were civilians, as one would expect. I doubt that has changed. So your point is without merit.
I see the phrase "try-too-hard" in many posts critical of A&M, and I don't get it. Do you honestly believe A&M is trying to impress you? Seriously?

I think what he means is; that you try too hard. Off the field. As well as, on the field.
Literally.
This coaching hire will only prove it.

That's certainly possible. shite happens. I think (because I'm a hopeless homer) that this will be comparable to stealing Jackie Sherrill from Pitt, but a more dramatic improvement and probably w/o the cheating. We'll see.

We will. It’s why they play the game.
Good luck to you guys.

I am honored by the award. I want to think getting picked on as a kid and Joe Alleva failure to land Jimbo for making me into the a-hole I am today.

Cheap shot. That is a pic of the late Tom Wilson RIP, former head coach circa 1980. He was replaced by Jackie Sherrill and went on to be a highly respected Texas High School coach at Palestine and Corsicana.
If he was alive today (he would have been in his late 60's}, he would whip your butt.
I would bet there are some photos of your coaches wearing polyester pants as well.
Tom was a good guy and my friend.
He was also a great running back at Texas Tech...back when the old SWC had running backs.
