That’s really a good pic in a potentially poignant way. He almost looks like a statue who’s overseeing it all. If things go well you ags need to remember that one.

This response also pertains to VooDoo, who expressed similar concerns about our traditions.
I spoke with the traditions police last night, after both of you posted, and relayed your concern and input. We had no idea that our traditions are weird, different, and an overall detriment to the university, specifically athletics. After all, we want to be just like LSU.
Last night we reached out to our counterparts at The Citadel and VMI. They too are are still wrapped up in "the gay" and center their life around the fake army, and the traditions that revolve around corps life. They still parade around, drill, and have weird chants that only they can understand. They had no idea that these things were keeping them from winning the SEC, or a D1 national championship. They, along with us, are distraught in their ways.
We also reached out to the folks at Virginia Tech, and asked them what they have done about "the gay" and their fake army traditions. They indicated they they had embraced LSU traditions long ago, and have done all they could to hide "the gay" and be more like every other school, specifically LSU. However, they indicated that it had not translated to a D1 national championship in football, and have reported similar results to Texas A&M, who still openly displays "the gay."
So, that puts us in a pickle. Do we keep our "gay" traditions and risk being able to recruit enough athletes to field a football team, or do we try to become just like LSU? In fact, we determined that it would take decades for us to become just like LSU, because it would take nearly 50 years, by our estimate, to allow our infrastructure and facilities to degrade to the condition of those at LSU. And it may take even longer to squander our endowment to the point where we could no longer fund research and degrade our academia community, in order to emulate LSU.
What a mess we are in, indeed. All because of the Yell Leaders.
