Do you have any idea how much harder it is to win a Super Bowl than a National Championship?

Put down the Kool Aid.

Harbaugh coached at fricking Stanford, if he's there this season they're probably playing LSU in NOLA. And turning the 49ers around from where they have been is pretty amazing.

I'll disagree with that but Harbaugh is obviously a great coach and considering his body of work he is the obvious choice. Glad LSU didn't push les to Michigan and go after him instead when Michigan came calling

I don't hate Alabama or Saban but the job Harbaugh has done at San Fran is more impressive.

Harbaugh is taking his team to the nfc championship in his first year as an nfl coach. Saban never even sniffed the playoffs in miami.

NFL coaches are on a completely different level than college. Not really a fair comparison.

How about 1?

I'm not denying Harbaugh is good - I just think you can't compare the two - hence my exaggerated claim.

Guys like Nick Saban and Bill Cowher that have won in their prospective leagues are hard to find. Guys like Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer are even harder to find.

So far Harbaugh hasnt won anything except his division and 1 playoff game. Call me out when he wins more - I'll gladly admit I'm wrong.

Mock it all you want but what Harbaugh was able to do at a school with high acceptance standards and then go straight to the NFL and be 1 game away from the Super Bowl with a mediocre team is pretty incredible for a coach.

They're both good coaches but Harbaugh is really proving himself in the NFL.

I can see this both ways. In the end though, Harbaugh hasn't won anything. I think 3-0 is undesputable.

I don't care much for this argument, but the only area you can call mediocre on SF is the WRs. The rest of it is a really good team.

It shows how bad of a coach Singletary was...

I'd take Harbaugh in a heartbeat. Dudes had success everywhere he's been and one win away from the super bowl in his first year with a team that was terrible.
