Saban's experience in the league was practically a laugh riot.

State fans know all a out coaches who are a "laugh riot". Mullen's time in the SEC is the definition of a laugh riot.

This is like comparing appes to oranges. 95% of the teams Saban plays against has an athletic disadvantage. Harbough is coaching against teams that are athletically equal.

Exactly and unlike most of these jokers I've seen both JH and NS coach my team so I'm much more qualified to talk about this then they are

This is so true. Bama just basically out-talents everyone. That must be true because they finish first in recruiting every year. It's amazing poor ole LSU can even stay on the field with them.

Then why are y'all having this discussion? Oh that's right.

Any chance someone has a chance at trying to talk shite to Alabama fans they're going to take it. It's funny because they have to use NFL teams to do it.

I'm one of the very few who has had both coach his team and at the end if the day it 's Harbaugh and not that close

Fair opinion. All are entitled to 1. What I notice here is that an LSU fan does not dare mention Les Miles in the same sentence as Harbaugh or Saban.

I guess Saban should apologize for working hard 365 days a year to make sure he has the best team on the field.

the concept of context is so lost on this board

Like a thread on the SECR about a coach that has never coached in the SEC? Which context would you place it?

Not at all. Saban does great when he has an athletically superior team. When he has equal talent, he's not considered that great. That's why he is much better suited for college. He is probably a better recruiter than the majority of NFL head coaches and would therefore probably be able to beat most NFL coaches if they were in college ball. It's just a different game in the NFL.

Okay so: let's front office do the dirty work >>>>>>>>>> work arse off to make sure you have the players to be a superior team. Yeah totally makes sense.

NFL is a totally different ball game. All the players are good. Saban can cherry pick whatever he wants in college. Yes, he works harder than others at it and deserves his accolades. However, when you take his ability to get the more talented athletes away, and he has to play with equally talented players, he obviously is not considered one of the best coaches. He is definitely one of the best coaches, of all time, in college.

Are you trying to say that because Harbough enjoys men, Saban enjoys boys? Where were you trying to go with this?

I think it is quite obvious that if Harbough had an athletically superior team, which Saban has 95% of the time, he would win a national championship in college. What can't be said is that if Saban were given equal talent to the opposition, he would be able to win football at its most elite level. Nothing wrong with that, there's only 33 guys who get that opportunity and Saban has chosen to be an elite college coach. Saban is in a club of about 120 and NFL guys are in a club of 33.
