The NFL cares about his ability to be a 6th OL on the field who is also an eligible and extremely capable receiver, and a vicious downfield blocker.
This is how UGA used him, won back to back national champs, and it's exactly how the NFL will use him.
I don't know which NFL team you care about, but many aubies like the Falcons, so imagine the Falcons with both Pitts and Washington on the field at the same time. It's a cheat code.

Ben Watson is a good TE and a better person, but Randy McMichael was probably a better TE. Leonard Pope wasn’t bad either.
