Someone should remind all schools that something like this can happen to any one of their players. And when you talk a TON of shite while one school is having issues you're gonna get a ton of shite back when it happens to you.

Well. He would maybe have a point....

So you think I enjoy posting about a man beating down a woman?

Wow.

I agree this is bad but coachs and schools can only do so much. Every school in the SEC would have taken him and there is nothing they would have done that would have stopped it. State and him have to deal with this but I can't put judgement on State for this. We just have to see what happens.

If this is as bad as it sounds, we need to cut him

Agreed. Unless there's something we just don't know.....he doesn't have a history of this that would have pushed coaches away. Could have just as easily been BAMA or ole miss having to deal with this if it weren't for some last second dealings.

The screenshot of that video is enough to tell me he won't be our problem much longer. good riddance.

I know players can't transfer to a SEC school, if they have domestic violence issues, but what about this? I mean, if the conference is going to take a stand, shouldn't it apply to everyone trying to play in the SEC?

Kid very likely ruined his career before he ever took a college class.

Will never understand how these kids can throw away what is usually their best shot at getting any sort of education and making something of themselves.

Based upon this (i.e. video evidence worse than Ray Rice) I can not fathom how he can stay on any SEC Team. It could happen to any of our players but just glad it isn't an Ole Miss issue to deal with.

Holy frick

It's really disturbing ... Jeff is so huge.

Forget the OM/MSU hate... It's bad... Once they show it on the news tonight and it's out there Simmons' career will be over.. I imagine he'll turn himself into the authorities on Monday.

Thoughts go out to all the families affected by this ... Jeff was gonna be one of the best DEs to ever come out of MS.

Love the use of the "mistake" word on EliteDawgs tonight. How can this be a mistake, when a mistake by definition is an attempt to do something correct, but making an error?

This was a choice..........and a bad one. Too many times we try and convince ourselves that something is a mistake when the perpetrator of the incident meant for the outcome to happen. Throwing punches was a decision he made and consequences will be coming.

I haven't seen the video, so all I know is what has been posted on here, but if it is what it seems like, I think he should be gone. Rosebowl says he doesn't expect it to have an impact on his scholarship at MSU though.
