Even after the Petrino stuff, the thing that lost Long with most of our fanbase is when he said "we're not a win at all costs program" and started spouting off our academic success during an interview when questioned about our lack of results in the athletic department. That stuff may sound good at an Ivy League school but SEC fans won't accept that lol.

He doesn't have very good judgment. Having Snoop Dogg at Kansas' basketball exhibition throwing around money with stripper poles was a great look

Didn't Petrino hire and subsequently promote his mistress? From what I recall that is what got him fired, not the motorcycle wreck where he crashed his face into her boyfriend's fist 16 times in a row.

Yes. He had to be fired. Anyone who thinks a slap on the wrist would have been appropriate are dumbasses or LSU fans. Surprised the other candidates for that job didn’t file suit.

Not really. He leaves in disgrace but still a millionaire.

Dude has got to be one of the dumber ADs in college sports history. Maybe second to Ross Bjork.

Arkansas and Kansas are the dumb ones for letting Long steal millions from them. He was smart for putting on the disguise of Mr. Integrity.

Petrino did pick her but Long had the authority of making the hire. So he must have known a bout the other applicants and probably the affair.
