Jayden Daniels and the Heisman

Is the best QB and offensive player in the country. He's head and shoulders better than the next tier guys and he should win Heisman Trophy if there's any justice left in the award. He probably won't win it due to record (let's be honest), but he should. He should also be the #1 pick, or at least the #1 QB taken in next year's draft. He's a stud.
Anyway, just wanted to tip my hat. He's definitely the most deserving of the Heisman but the award isn't given to the best player anymore, it's given to the best player on the best team.

He is elite. I shudder to think about how good that 2019 offense would be with JD playing QB.

You retards can't even take a compliment. He really should win the award but I doubt he will, and he should be the #1 pick. I'd draft him #1 for sure.

That's a fair point. Is he better than Burrow? He just might be. This LSU offense may also be better than the 2019 offense, but damn if that doesn't speak to how bad the 2023 LSU defense is.

Daniels as QB on 2011 LSU team. Would have paid a lot to see that.

That would have been nasty as long Les didn't hold him back. He loved to be conservative.

Indeed.
Just put the offensive genius of Les Miles behind him and he could have been really special.

Does the award go to a lifetime achievement guy on a good team (Nix), a media hype guy with woefully lacking statistics (Harrison) a steady player that passes the eye test on a contender (Penix) or an incredible performance/statistical outlier guy (Daniels)?
Daniels is the clear outlier. Is that what people vote for this year?

Tim Tebow, Lamar Jackson, RGIII, and Caleb Williams all won it on teams with at least 3 losses. Lamar Jackson and Louisville had 4 losses. JD5 should without question be the Heisman front runner, even if his team isn't in the running. It's not his fault our defense sucks. We would have lost at least 3 more games without him.

I would be happy if the defense was half as good as the 2019 team.

Should be. However, as long as guys like Penix are out there on a team that has a chance to win a championship, I fear he won't be. I personally hope he wins it because screw the west coast and the PAC 2. Also, the voters love to vote for B1G and PAC players.
Best thing for Daniels would be for Washington to drop a game or two.

You think it’s dumb as frick to suggest adding a QB who averages 8 YPC and already has over 1000 yards rushing on the year would make the 2019 offense even better?
Is that right?
You people have the football IQ of soggy cornbread.

Subtle troll there. Amazing how badly Burrow broke so many Gumps.

In the 3 losses Daniels averaged 21/32 for 326 yards, with 2.3 TDs and 0.7 int passing, and 109 yards on 14 carries, with 0.3 TD rushing. That's a total average of 435 yards and 3 TDs per loss. It would be criminal to hold those losses against him.
