Man, he probably cost himself some money. He has been garnering draft hype too. Hard to imagine someone being so stupid, but young men often times are the worst decision makers.
If one reads the police report it is entirely possible he made some money. He won't do it because of the optics but he ought to sue the shite out of the PD and the officer for violating his civil rights. Dude basically arrested him for smirking and not complying with a subjective order, one which could not be complied with given the cop, according to his own words, did not quantify the order. Get out of the way is subjective - if the cop wasn't bent on being bill bad arse he'd have told him how far away to be and had he not complied he may have had a case but simply telling someone to get off a public sidewalk is not a legal order.

So he moved back and to the right but that wasn’t enough at 1am on. A public side walk so they arrested him? The frick?
Athens PD or Campus PD? Either way it is simply their way....run around town arresting people willy nilly for shite that wouldn't even draw a cops attention anywhere else....and when they find it is someone associated with the AD in any way they get harder than chinse algebra. The state needs to step in and clean house.

arrest by local yokels.
This is why IDGAF in the slightest when these articles about "zomg 10000 UGA players arrested!!! Culture problem in Athens!?!?" surface every week. Because no other schools deal with the same shite that UGAPD/ACCPD hand out.
There is certainly a cultural problem in Athens...the police department culture is a problem any way you slice it. Campus police and ACC....it is well known and documented, why the state doesn't clean house is beyond me.

The cops are the only rivals with a winning record vs UGA in the Kirby era.

Knew this guy was a 1st talent but this guarantees it
Seriously, Zach Branch, the guy every teammate loved, the guy who transferred in & immediately contributed to team culture etc. What a load of BS.
This cop deserves a place in the Barney Fife Honor's Circle

I've long since stopped caring about UGA arrests.
Fans of other teams think these are a big deal, but the reality is that these are all Athens arrests. Anyone who's been a student at UGA understands how ridiculous both the campus and city police in Athens are. It's been that way for more than 30 years.
After years of seeing people freak out about "driving with a suspended license" (this means unpaid parking tickets), assaulting a trash can, public intoxication (while locked inside a bathroom), emerging from an alley, riding a moped the wrong way on a road, walking while drunk (not driving home, walking home), speeding tickets and now obstructing a sidewalk....
I just am going to assume every UGA arrest is BS and no UGA players are doing anything wrong. Hell, even the ones that sound bad initially seem to get dropped.
