Who’s going to star in 2020 after landing at a new school? Here are five names to keep in mind.
5. Quincy Roche, DE, Miami
4. Feleipe Franks, QB, Arkansas
Franks looked like the future at Florida, but his time there was derailed by injury and the emergence of Kyle Trask. It’s worth remembering how good he was in 2018 when he threw for 24 touchdowns to just six interceptions, leading Florida to a ten-win season. It’s not easy to find quarterbacks with that level of success and experience. Franks should start immediately, and provided he stays healthy, should improve Arkansas considerably.
3. Jabril Cox, LB, LSU
North Dakota State has produced some quality football players despite being a FCS program — just ask Carson Wentz. That’s why Jabril Cox’s transfer to LSU should be taken seriously. A two-time FCS All-American, Cox starred for three Bison championship teams and is viewed as having the potential to become one of the nation’s top linebackers. Going from FCS football to the SEC will obviously be an adjustment, but the vast majority of experts think he will pull it off and then some.
2. Jamie Newman, QB, Georgia
While there will be some debate over the order, the general consensus is that Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields are the top two college quarterbacks in 2020. Newman may well establish himself as No. 3 before all is said and done. Newman threw for 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions at Wake Forest, on a team with inferior talent, and in a system that didn’t suit him. Georgia will be better for him in both regards. Expect the dual-threat quarterback to put up big numbers on a Georgia team with playoff ambitions.
1. D’Eriq King, QB, Miami

To explain, passer ratings against in 2018:
Kentucky - 108.1
MSU - 123.9
LSU - 99.3
UGA - 110.1
Missouri - 73.0
He was truly awful in a handful of games, against the better part of his schedule too. All those teams above are all the SEC teams he played who finished with an 8-5 record or better.

Ok lets remember
Comp% - 58.4
Yards - 2,457
TD - 24
INT - 6
RTG - 143.3
I guess the rating is decent but how great are the numbers? They don't jump off the screen in anyway if you ask me.

Against ACC defenses and fcs schools.
Yeah right!

I'm laughing how he brings up 2018 numbers while ignoring the guy who threw for 3500 yards, 65% completion rating, and 155 rating in 2018.

In a system that didn't suit him? Have they even watched UGA's offense?

They have seen our OC’s offenses.

Kirby better get a lobotomy before the season..... whenever that is.
Eta: It's worth noting that Wake Forest ran the spread too. I'm sure you've watched Newman's highlights by now. That kid is going to get eaten alive by SEC defenses.

Listen you dumb arse swamp yankee. I watched Jamie play at Wake in person last year before his top 3 o-lineman went down and arguably top ACC receiver. He was freaking good! Most experts were saying he was very similar to Scam. He has a better arm than scam but not the feet scam has. He is very similar in size. If he clicks with the new OC and still has the weapons at WR that UGA has he will have a banner year. That is a lot of ifs but by God he has the most talent of remaining QBs in the SEC.

The highlights that show an elite deep ball and mobility? Those are 2 things our offense lacked in 2019. Keep in mind the guy played with wake forest talent, and 2/3 of his best wrs has season ending injuries.

Can we compare Jamie Newman to Daniel Jones?
If Jones hadn't played for Duke, would he have been more successful in college, or was his playing style more suited for the NFL, regardless of program?
I don't know the answer to this, but I can see it going both ways.
And I'm totally stealing that "dumbass swamp yankee" line.

Difference:
A great team carried Jake.
Newmann carried what would have been a 3-4 win team.
Also, Jake's defenses weren't as good as Jamie's will be.

Also had 7 rushing TDs. I'll take 31 TDs right now no matter who it's against lol. Don't expect him to be great but at least 10 times better than what we trotted out last year.

Lol for real. Everyone talking about those stats have no idea how bad Arkansas' QB play has been over the last few years. We threw nearly that same number of interceptions against San Jose State alone!
