The '09 State team had much more talent compared to the '12 Vandy team. You can't argue that.

you actually can
Most of our players in 2009 were young or experienced and had been shite up until they had a real coach.

I can't believe you disgraced Ned Stark's head with that choker. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/casty.gif)

Mullen won more SEC games than Franklin did in his 1st year. He even beat a ranked team. His biggest problem was a tough OOC schedule or we easily go 7-5.
Mullen also inherited more talent. 08 MSU went 4-8 while '10 Vandy went 2-10.
I'll give you the tough OOC but assuming you keep 1 of GT or Houston (both of your OOC losses that year) on the schedule you go 6-6 at best.

Yes I can. The decent players we had sucked before Dan got there. The talent we had wasn't realized until after the season.

Had he called a run/pass option play to the player's strong side (right) then the QB could have either a) scored, b) completed a pass for a score, or c) thrown the ball away giving MSU another down to try to win.
Only if they had gone for and converted a two point play. You re stretching it by saying for the win.

For starters, you are bat shite crazy if you believe John L. and Mullen are even near the same level.

Mullen has benefited from there being 3 strong teams in the west for the last couple of years. Makes him look better by association and cover up a piss poor record against the other teams except ole miss.
The fact that you think this is an advantage is delusional.

2 wins is considered a pretty big gap between 6-6 and 8-4. I'll hold the same standards for 4-8 and 2-10.

The problem with that is the two wins above six mean a higher bowl and the more likely that your team beat a big time program or two.

It is. Would you have considered us as bad as we are now had we beaten Vandy and BYU last year?

You just proved his point. Y'all were terrible last year. If you had won those two games, you would have still been terrible.

Ratio wise it's the equivalent of 27 MLB games to a MLB season.
