I'm surprised. I thought TJ Moe was god's gift to the WR position based on your fanbase and his SEC media days speech

James Franklin has almost identical stats as JFF this season and they have played comparable opponents. James Franklin and JFF played roughly the same amount of time in the first game (JFF suspended half the game and Mizzou used second and third string qb in second half).

Let's have a little closer look at that, broseph:

Missouri game 1 (Murray State)
Franklin leaves at the 9:51 mark of the 3rd Q (2Q + 5:09 played of a 3rd)

Missouri game 2 (Toledo)
Franklin plays the entire game (4Q played)

A&M game 1 (Rice)
Manziel starts second half, leaves at 9:48 mark of the 4th Q (1Q + 5:12 played of a 2nd)

A&M game 2 (SHSU)
Manziel leaves at the 5:24 mark of the 3rd Q (2Q + 9:36 of a 3rd)

Totals
Franklin 6Q + 5:09 (95:09)
Manziel 3Q + 14:48 (59:48)

So your argument now basically says that, statistically, your guy Franklin equals about 3/5 of Manziel, everything else being equal.

That I think we can all agree with.

You compared Rice (FBS) to Murray State (FCS) and Toledo (FBS) to FCS Runner Up SHSU

Wait, Vanderbilt's coach plays QB??

Oohhhhh, Mizzou's QB is named JF too. Sorry, I didn't even know y'all were fielding a team this year.

James Franklin is impressive (even injured) but Michigan's QB Devin Gardner lit the world on fire last night with great passing and running skills (a true dual threat rather than a running QB). If he keeps that up, he's going to be a breakout star very soon and his humility and personality will make him a media favorite. The media loves Michigan and he would make a good replacement for JFF who people have gotten tired of seeing.

Franklin's going to suffer for playing on an under the radar team unless Mizzou figures out a way to shock the world.

Franklin is mediocre. Please wait until we play legitimate teams and then see how he is. If he's still as impressive after the Florida game, then I might buy into any Franklin hype.

As a Mizzou Alum, the OP in this thread is just embarrassing.

Seems to me that you are probably just a jayhawker in disguise.

Because it's the rant. Even the worst threads can survive.

I actually think he's a bit underrated and the mediocrity you see has more to do with overall team issues, especially last year. Yeah, he needs to beat a few legit teams but his skillset is good. Can Mizzou capitalize on that and can he improve the things he needs to improve? I don't know but that doesn't necessarily mean its entirely on him.

Bridgewater of Louisville is way better than JFF. So is Aaron Murray.

He is better than what people saw last year but worse than what people saw his soph year. What made him so good his soph year was his ability to run. He was able to do that against Toledo but he won't be able to against UGA, UF and so on. At least not if he wants to play the whole year.

Put aside the off season issues, I'd take JFF still. Very good QB's you name, but I don't think either of them can elevate the team around him like JFF does. It just seems the entire team feed off of him, intensity wise.

I'm not gonna bother to read all 6 pages.

I'll just say. No. No he is not.

I like JF, but JFF is a gamer. JF doesn't have near the attitude of JFF. That's the difference. Johnny fricking Football just don't give a frick. He'll beat whoever he wants, on every play. James Franklin just doesn't have that.

JF can sport his Superman emblem all he wants, but the real Superman resides in College Station.

BEcause his numbers aren't as good. Just look at the numbers you brought up. He has thrown 2 less touchdowns. Also JOhnny threw 3 in 8 passes against rice.

You must have been expelled from the University of Missouri that is the only possible explanation for why you stalk every Mizzou thread. What was the reason just curious? Grades? ... Nutty? ....
