Give me Murray any day of the week. Simmons has more upside, I guess, but Murray has got to be one of the most prolific scorers in the nation. He hasn't stopped improving since he arrived at Kentucky..

Ah shite, LSU fans going to be pissed.

And I agree, Simmons may only get 1st team SEC...he'll be shut out for POY and SEC Frosh POY.

Simmons is one of the least impressive heralded talents I can remember in recent years.

He's about like that kid from Kansas a few years ago. Real skinny dude.

If you have to be a basketball savant to appreciate what Simmons brings to the court, he isn't all that special.

It is cool that he can dribble and run at 6-10 though.

No jump shot...not very good at the FT line.

Damn good driver to the rim and passer. He is going to be a solid pro (with work on his game, he'll be great)...but let's be honest, he is no Lebron what some were touting on here. This years freshman class is not very good. Going to be a VERY WEAK draft...but Simmons is the #1 pick (still say poor mans Lamar Odom comparison)

He'd would be up for National Player of the Year. if he was at Kentucky. Still does not change what he is, a poor mans Lamar Odom.

UK fans are so mad that Ben Simmons chose LSU. The fact that he beat UK while at LSU makes their hate so much stronger.

Is he talking about Wiggins? If so, hilarious that he thinks that's a degrading comment

WildcatMike, just out of curiosity, what specifically would Cal do to get more out of Simmons? Not saying I disagree, I'm just trying to pry a bit and see if you know anything about basketball or if you think you do because you know what a ball screen is, like most UK fans

Good passer and driver are pretty simple minded comments. Anything else?

So you're admitting Simmons will be a solid pro, maybe even great, but will never be more than a poor mans Odom. Odom was 'solid,' never quite great, but a very good player. So how is he a poor man's Odom again?

He probably couldn't even tell you where Odom played in college

Yes, I think Cal would push Ben to not be so passive on a jump shot. Also, I can see Cal using the bench as a motivator to push Simmons.

Look, he is going to be a damn good pro player, he will make all star games.

Without looking, he played at Rhode Island. Harrick was his coach. I recall, they went to the Elite 8 or Sweet 16...I think it was in 96.

Would you agree, Odom is money with his jump shot when he played?
