Burrow and Herbert

Burrow and Hurts have pelts on the wall. I’d franchise Herbert til he shows that dog mentality.

Happy for him...but seems a little risky after just one elite season. But man, what a story. It has movie script written all over it.

He was a 2nd round pick. Everyone had to decide about his future one year earlier than if he had gone in the 1st. Ain't free agency great?

That’s that football IQ the poster above you is talking about.

Who would have thought the guy that had to sit on the bench, so Tua Tagovaloa could step in and win the title, would later become the highest paid player in NFL history. That day changed Jalen Hurts for the better.

Good for Jalen but what an idiotic contract for the Eagles for poor man’s Lamar Jackson

I would take Jalen Hurts to run my program over Lamar Jackson. Not only are they both similar in combined offensive ability, I think Jalen is the better QB when it comes to leadership. Also, Jalen hurts doesn't have a face that looks like it was reconstructed from a shotgun accident. I can't help but look away from Lamar...

Great for Jalen! OAN Chiefs got a steal with Mahomes and BENGALS about to pay up for Burrow.

Ridiculous statement. Lamar is easy to scheme against in the playoffs. He runs because he can't throw. Jalen will light you up through the air and then he will hurt you with his running. Jalen is just smarter with the ball, seldom makes mistakes, and is a great leader. He got better season by season, game by game, and Lamar is still just Lamar.

There is a valid reason the Ravens gave Lamar Jackson an opportunity to negotiate with everyone in the league and he's still unsigned.

And that QB has to be able to elevate the guys around him, make every throw & make off-script plays outside the pocket

Hurts had the best OL in football last year, a top 5 or close to top 5 tight end, AJ Brown is a top 5 WR and across from him is Devonta Smith.

Love Jalen, and like others have said you have to pay your QB nowadays, but I think its more him leveling up his own play while being in an extremely favorable position than it is him elevating anyone else. Like if you put Jalen on the Chiefs with that WR group I think they are probably a wild card, 1st round exit team.

Because Lamar wants a fully guaranteed deal like Watson got. Hes also unsigned because the teams that are most likely to want him pick really high in this draft, so they can use that pick this year and then trade theoretically less valuable picks for '24 and '25 if the Ravens do insist on two firsts.

Good for Jalen, but professional sports have gone off the rails

I agree the Eagles had a stacked up roster. And Jalen will get his chance to prove what he can do now that they won’t be able to afford to surround him with the same talent in the future. That said, based on Sirianni’s glowing endorsement, I think he’s more than capable at this point.

And it won't mean shite if they don't surround him with guys that want to win.

Happy for him. Great person aside from football as well. He earned it by working hard through some tough times (like bekmg benched by Bama). Most would have never recovered from that but he transferred to OU and the rest is history. Also, his agent is an OU alumni, she works for Klutch and repped his contract.

Ironically, there are very good rails in place for the NFL. That’s why it’s become so wildly successful & they can afford to pay franchise QB’s these massive contracts. College football is the sport that’s flying off into the abyss. It’s maimed and unrecognizable at this point.
