Not even close. One happened in the final seconds of the national title game. The other happened in a 8 9 matchup in round one between two teams that have no chance to reach the final four.

Agree, while I certainly think it is an interesting topic for the first two days of the tournament, it's an 8/9 game between two teams a lot of people thought shouldn't be there in the first place.

While it was dumb they hadn't stopped NW hardly at all the last few poss. Very likely they score and Vandy doesn't get the ball back or has very little time.
Also Vandy played the last several min without any TO, and kept jacking up 3's. More of a coaching issue.

Yes the kid is going to be haunted with that memory for some time, but he played his arse off. It was really unfortunate.
It really was just awful timing for Fisher Davis for a lot of reasons. That play is obviously going to overshadow everything but personally until the last 14 seconds I thought that was the best game MFD had ever played in his career. He has had as good of days offensively but his defense, hustle, intensity hardest I have ever seen him play.
But he's also a guy who has had brain farts throughout his career which reared its head yesterday at the worst possible time.
Plenty of blame to go around though VU got virtually nothing from 3 of its 5 starters and Drew burned some timeouts early that sure would have come in handy up 1 with 14 seconds left.

First thing I thought of when it happened. Seriously though it seemed like quite a few back and forth possessions without a TO. Considering how late in the game, what was on the line, etc. I can see how hard it would be to keep track.
