Serious question....is there a stick built home in South Carolina?

No sticks available. They're all lodged firmly in your arse.

I knew an old boy from South Carolina once....had 3 sisters. The place is so shitty if he didn’t wake up with a hard on none of the kids in that family had anything to play with all day......

You live in New Mexico from what I can gather

Enough said

That, my friend, is the gospel! Especially southern New Mexico......2/3s of the state is a combination between a landfill....but an old one, say 1950s era where they didn’t even bother to bury the shite just dumped it on the ground so folks could bring some and take some away as met their needs....and an abandoned industrial park. Ugliest, most tortured landscape in the US for the most part.....shitty little towns full of welding trucks with no muffler.....and that’s what the mayor drives. There are some breathtakingly beautiful places in New Mexico....think the best of Colorado without the nuts that live there.....but the really horrible places outnumber those by about 10 - 1. South Carolina is a Nirvana compared to anything west of a line between Dallas and Houston with the exception of Austen all the way to about 100 miles east of the Pacific. There ain’t a real city in all of New Mexico...5th largest state in the union in physical size and nothing but towns! Damndest place I ever lived. Good folks though, other than a predisposition to meth addiction and surliness....

Born and raised in Charleston, and have lived for stints in Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvannia and Nevada. South Carolina is an awesome state if you ask me, and would top my list as far as quality of life. Outside of the west coast, I would rank my favorite states to live as 1) South Carolina, 2) North Carolina, 3) and Virginia. Columbia, Anderson and Greenville/Spartanburg are great places to raise a family with close access to the beaches and the mountains and good public schools.

Charleston the city is great, but the problem is that too many people have discovered Charleston. Between (some of) the pretentious locals who turn up their nose at you if your great great granddaddy wasn't a rebel in the Civil War, and the hordes of Northeasterners and Midwesterners that have descended on the area, it has produced too much traffic and expensive housing relative to incomes. I would take a closer look at some of the lesser known beach towns like Beaufort/Hilton Head, Pawleys Island.

I grew up on Johns Island when it was actually something approaching rural. Its quickly becoming an extension of James Island.

I've lived in Horry County my entire life. Flip the numbers and you're closer to being accurate. It's almost 5 hours to Clemson and 2 to Columbia. Hell we're closer to NC State than Clemson. 2 to 1 Gamecock fans here at least.
