Yes, LSU fans are all over the place with the actual number and I'm not sure why.

I mean, you can't blame them. the media reported different numbers, too. Then add that Kelly reported a number but the depth chart (which he would also report) had a completely different number. Then you get fans on different message boards repeating different numbers and....there you go.

The main thing is Brian Kelly definitelytook on an undermanned team.

My bad! It was late when I typed that and it was 39. What people are failing to realize how many players bailed out the second Ed O was fired. They opted out of the bowl game and hit the portal as soon as they could. So any rankings before BK was hired is not very telling of what he inherited

It's not a big deal, and people that want to truly argue the point are just trolling you guys, or are trying to make light of a situation.

Like I said 3/4 of that team that was ranked so high left the program.

And you still brought in the #3 transfer portal class. Which in turns gave LSU another top 10 talent wise team. It’s not like Kelly brought in a bunch of freshman he had to develop. He brought in a bunch of players that could play right away. And even with the highly ranked classes/talent, UT still evacuated “Death Vally” before the 3rd quarter was over.

If Richardson can be drafted in the 1st round, then I see Milton going #1 this year.

Milton's lard arse will never have a combine like Richardson.

And I’m not discrediting his recruiting. I am questioning people that say he didn’t have any talent in that team when he showed up. If it wasn’t that talented this year, when in fact it absolutely was one of the top 10 talented teams in the country talent wise according to multiple recruting services.

He's saying Heupel didn't have as much talent also when that's Heupel's fault.

Milton is more physically gifted in every way more than Richardson.
Richardson- 58% completion, 17TD’s 9int, 131 RTG.
Milton - 64.6%, 10TD’s, 0ints, 204.3 RTG. All but 1 game as a back up.

Milton is more talented than Richardson and he will show that this year when he has 40 TD’s.

You continue to prove over and over that you know nothing about what you're talking about.

You seem to forget Kelly brought in all that talent. Heuphel could have done it too

Then prove me wrong then. What made Richardson so special his last year at Florida. He threw 17td and 9ints and completed under 60% if his passes. That’s not very good.

Passing stats have very little to nothing to do with how "physically gifted" someone is.

Kind hard for Heupel to do anything his first year considering UT self imposed scholarship reductions, active NCAA investigation and 31 transfers. He did indeed do well to bring in Top 25 class considering everything that went on.

Again, no one is disputing rather he did or didn’t bring in talent. I am disputing the people that have said that LSU had 50, 31, 29, 45 or whatever number of players it was. I have also seen on here where people say Kelly didn’t have much to work with when in fact the year prior to him 247 ranked LSU team talent at #3. Then he takes over and still has #7 ranked talent according to 247. Kelly was in a much better situation at LSU than Heupel was at UT on day 1.

What part are you not understanding? When Ed O was fired all that talent you say we had most of it left so these rankings you keep bringing up are pointless. We had 39 scholarship players left after he left. We had to use a wide receiver for QB to even play in our bowl game. The talent you say we had was all brought in by Kelly. We had a few very talented players stay but most left
