re: It's pretty simple. Alabama wins if Young plays and is healthy and loses if Milroe plays

Nonsense.

Alabama is stock full of five stars, three deep. Tennessee is playing with a depleted, cobbled-together lineup of mostly 3 stars.

There is no reason for Alabama to lose this game.

Tennessee has only a puncher's chance. If they play a complete game and connect on a bunch of quick strikes they have a chance.

A puncher's chance, nothing more.

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young remains "day-to-day" with a right shoulder sprain, but there is "an increasing sense of optimism" the reigning Heisman Trophy-winner will start Saturday vs. Tennessee, according to ESPN's @PeteThamel

Vols are toast!

Alabama can win with Milroe too if we can just convince him not to give the ball to the other team.

I hear Robby Ashford was giving him some pointers on that this week. He should be good to go.

I heard Milroy called a players only meeting to help him stop fumbling. The team beat him with rubber hoses for a half hour.

That should take care of it.

Alabama wins with either.

They just need to roll Milroe out to the right with an option to run or pass on a lot of downs.
Block with a TE on that side and then throw to the TE or other trailing receivers if the secondary comes up to stop the run.

He’s a good QB, he just needs to be more aware of ball protection.

And I was screaming at the TV last week that BOB needed to call more downfield passes for Milroe. We were way too conservative with the game plan and it almost cost us.

He was calling them, your receivers just struggle to get separation downfield and Milroe wasn't making the throws.

either team can win with a healthy bryce in the game. the oddds are prohibitively in Tenn's favor if bryce doesn't play.

What odds? Not Vegas odds. The odds in your head?

Tennessee has no business being in this game. It's only Heupels scheming and team chemistry that give them a chance.

Odds in their favor? Please.

This makes no sense.

Alabama barely beat Texas with with its top quarterback out and it's garbage 2nd quarterback limping around the field. Explain to me why Tennessee shouldn't run away with this?

Answer me this question.

If Tenner scores more points on BAMA than Tejas did, does that mean Tenner would beat Tejas?

Absofrickinglutely not. The Tejas game is over. They lost. It has no bearing on the BAMA/Tenner game. Zero.

So, unless you can grasp that fricking equation, there's no way to explain it to you whorn.

Isn’t that your thing now. If you win you are the best team in the country. If you lose it’s because you had a hurt player.

Becasue Gumps are three deep with five stars, and Tennessee is three deep with three stars?

The pressure is allll on the Gumps in this one. Tennessee is playing with house money.

It's been like that with everyone not named BAMA for 15 years now. When you're not supposed to win, why not throw caution to the wind?
