IMO outside of Pett who was also hurt...the other backs all do something well but none of them showed the ability to get done what KJ could do. His ability to turn 2 yards into 6 took a lot of pressure off a very average OL. None of the other backs showed that ability in the limited snaps they saw.

If you Go back and watch his first 7 or so touches, you will see the holes disappear. There was one play in which 3 of our dl beat your ol and met him behind the line. The healthiest rb in the world didn't cause that and isn't gonna beat that.

Overall, It was a turnover in both games that changed the directions each went.

If you say so. But still, the fact that he was in a game which was won and was injured cost you a chance to win a NC.

If you go back and watch the 1st game some of the same issues occur, healthy KJ bounced and made yards.

Yea. I agree. We were a good team, but not great. A great team would have had another back, etc...

Exactly! Funny how they are trying to act like they were concerned about injuries all along.

The narrative of the 1st game was how your lines owned our lines for 4 Q's. Are you suggesting that wasn't true?

If so, you might be onto something. After all this talk, the score was 7-6 UGA after the 1st Q in game 1. Shocking.

So maybe the AU domination of Q1 you claim is a bit overstated, right?

Auburn loves to use that we are the only team injured in December card.

The funny thing is that UGA is the only team in the game that lost a RB to an injury during the game, and we were the only team with a starter not even playing a snap.

Or that playing in the SECCG a week after playing your rival is a big deal. Bama been doing that shite for years.

I already went down this road when Straws tried to blame the performance on KJ... No need to do it again.

If you go back and watch the first UGA/ Auburn game, UGA ran a 3-4 defense and couldn’t stop Auburn. UGA also missed 3 scores that could’ve/ would’ve made that game different in the first half. The SECCG, UGA ran more of a 4-2-5 defense and got a ton of pressure on JS. I’ll the first to admit that was our true freshman’s first true hostile road game and I think that played a roll in UGA’s poor offensive performance. Gus screwed Auburn playing a RB, trying to use him as a decoy. That said, the last 13 meetings between UGA and Auburn, we all know UGA is 10-13. 2010- UGA loses to the bored gun in Auburn. 2013- UGA loses on a tipped pass/ lucky play in Auburn. 2017- UGA loses to Auburn with a true freshman QB in Auburn. So I think it would be safe to say that a neutral field or home field advantage might play more into the first games outcome than UGA being so bad or Auburn being so good seeing how Auburn hasn’t won in Georgia since 2005. And if UGA had played Auburn in late September, that would have been around the Mercer game....that Auburn struggled with.

That actually looks very reasonable.

For the love of god. You guys sure talked different shite prior to this game. About it not mattering, LOS being dominated and how that couldn’t change in 3 weeks. What a buncha excuse making bitches you folks have proven to be

Dude, check out here and Facebook during the first half of the seccg, 90% of every uga fan was already blaming the refs for losing while y'all were losing. You know it true.. so quit with the "AU excuse making" crap and shut the hell up.

UGA, if they play in it, comes off the heels of Auburn and Tech. Yet no one cried but Auburn

I never said that, nor did I assume we'd own the line the 2nd game with or without KJ.

In the first game uga opened with a good drive aided by two busted coverages. 8 plays 70 yards...the coverage bust plays accounted fo 54 yards of a 70 yard drive. From that point uga managed 10 yards in the 1st Quarter of game 1.

Conversely...Auburn managed two 41 yard drives that ended in FG's...The second drive stalled from penalties. The first stalled when an open WR dropped a sure 1st down. Auburn again drove effortlessly down the field 78 yards until uga made a wonderful stop and forced a FG from the short field. Auburn would go 3 and out then score a TD on their next possession.

Here are the stats for each drive Game 1 to middle of Game 2 2nd Quarter

Plays-Yards Results

uga 8-70 TD
Auburn 8-41 FG
uga 5-3
Auburn 12-41 FG
uga 3-7
Auburn 8-78 FG
uga 3-negative 11
Auburn 3-negative 8
uga 3-8
Auburn 6-70 TD
uga 3-1
Auburn 4-22 (uga TO)
Auburn 4-23 TD
uga 5-2
Auburn 2-45 TD
uga 7-45 FG
Auburn 3-2
uga 3-3
Auburn 13-77 FG
uga 3-0
Auburn 5-74 TD
uga 14-74 TD (Dancing Auburn D)
Auburn 4-49 Game Over

Game 2
Auburn 10-75 TD
uga 7-19
Auburn 3-2
uga 3-9
Auburn 10-60 Red Zone fumble...

Then suddenly uga figured out how to stop Auburn or maybe Auburn simply wore down from the stretch of games they played. There are two ways to decided what happened, fanatic emotion or data. That data supports my thoughts. Isn't it great...sometimes things break your way, sometimes they don't. Auburn has taken advantage of some breaks in our past. Congrats on your SEC title.

Is that a question or a statement? "I'm Ron Burgundy?" When it's uga it's justified and when it's other teams it's whinny bitches.. in the first game it was ga made mistakes and that is why they lost. Didn't AU fumble twice on your side of the field and have a field goal blocked. Maybe we should play that whinny bitch/justified game..
