If Auburn and UGA play at the beginning of the season, what excuse do little auburn fans use when they lose?

We whipped y'alls arse by 20 or 30 points or whatever it was when both teams were healthy and at full strength. shite, game was not even competitive and we could have won by 40 if we had wanted to and didn't frick up so much early and kick field goals. Not to even mention that last second TD when our D was busy dancing and not giving a frick about yalls sorry arse. Game was pretty much over right after halftime.

Y'all can thank Bama for saving your arse in Atlanta. Even with our 3 turnovers, blocked fg, and the best offensive player in the league hurt, it was a one score game in the 4th quarter.

Flip the script and let UGA play Bama and us play a creampuff before the SEC championship game, we win by 20 again.

So just thank whoever that UGA plays a pussy schedule and UGAs super bowl rival played all 4 playoff teams in 2017 (though OU was a 2016 bowl game) and one of them twice and LSU in Baton Rouge.

UGA would probably have 5 losses with AUs schedule. Clemson at Clemson, LSU at LSU, Bama, and AU twice. 5 losses.

Now stfu buttsniffer and just be thankful you don't play AUs schedule and enjoy your season.

Grit in your craw...can't argue with you though.

I agree with the uga fans. Injuries are a part of football. I know for a fact we don't beat a healthy bama team by 2 scores if they weren't injured. I suspect it would have been a last drive type of game. I also suspect uga didn't have an answer for a healthy Auburn team, I base it mostly on the beat down they took for the first 5ish quarters they played us before the injuries became to much to deal with in the game.

The obvious difference is Bama's linebackers didn't play, while Johnson played.

If you are being honest, you will admit Kerry was effective when he had good blocking.

The problem for au was the blocking went to crap, and then your qb had no time and your rb had no holes. The timing of this coincided with your defense also stinking it up, thus leading to uga domination.

Ask auburn or georgia fans if they want to drop that game. They made a HUGE deal about keeping that game with rescheduling. LSU fans make this a Tennessee Bama thing when the auburn Georgia game was actually the most discussed in terms of keeping it.

I know Saban coaches neither so I see your narrative and envy here but ask the fans if they want to drop it. Trust me. Nobody MAKES auburn and georgia play each other. U must be a youngun

Not that it's grossly not in our favor, but not sure I see any upside for UGA there.

magine that, for all LSU's chronic bitching about scheduling, they have played historically the weakest SEC schedule of all the "big 6" by a wide margin.

Fair enough. But let's tale a look at the last 15 years and see how things stack up.

Bama also get Vanderbilt or Missouri each year as well. The SEC office doesn't even try to hide it.

Even worse, they get to schedule a frickin' FCS school the week before the Iron Bowl which allows extra rest and less wear and tear on the 1st stringers. No team should be allowed to schedule an FCS team after week 4 or 5.

I realize you don't watch Auburn each game. Our OL played terrible every time KJ wasn't healthy or playing. He made an average OL above average. JS played well this season but isn't ready to win a game. It is what it is.

I realize we both have bias perspectives, but the fact that your D couldn't deal with our O for 5 plus quarters then suddenly went into shutdown mode could be because they woke up or it could be because something changed for Auburn. I suspect we'll never agree.

Your O played better and had a better plan in the 2nd game. I always expected them to score between 24-31 pts.

Simply because Alabama doesn't play...Alabama. Who would everybody rather play every year and not play the other at all, Alabama or Auburn? It's obvious.

The schedule thing is a bit over played, thought I at times will troll with it.

Reality is simple...Auburn is named after a city and not a flagship. It needed the games against uga, UTk, Florida and bama in its development to make its mark.

bama like it or not has always been the cash cow of the conference and in years past games with MSU and Vandy, etc...were always set to help the profile of those teams. A rising tide, floats all boats. There is a reason bama played Mizzou the first year after expansion.

Here are those numbers, FYI..

Games played against the Big 6 in SEC History (1933-2017):

1. Auburn- 316
2. Florida- 293

This is where you guys lose all credibility in this discussion. Including Florida in some kind of mythical "Big 6" grouping historically is downright comical. They didn't even win an SEC championship until the late 1980s. For the first 50 years of that time period, Florida was shite. Auburn doesn't get shite for going 26-19 during the first 50 years of that period.

Did he have an arm amputated in the 2nd half vs LSU? Was his shoulder magically better for his productive touches in game 2 but hurt when we met him at the line?

He was never productive after the first hit in the 2nd game...he did still play hard and managed a little something.

He was playing at about 80% against LSU from a hamstring injury...he struggled to bounce outside due to the injury and it showed once LSU walked up the safety and took away the inside runs he made in the 1st quarter.

Something most other fans don't get. A tough schedule doesn't mean jack unless you win. Alabama should get some measure of credit when they are pointed to on other teams' schedules as being a tough game and thereby making their schedule stronger.

Also, if FSU hadn't played Alabama this season, their QB probably doesn't get hurt and they probably would have challenged Clemson for the ACC title. I'm glad the committee is very rational and knowledgeable about the game.

Like it or not, there is something to the fact that over the last 10 years a lot of teams go into the toilet for a game or two after just playing Alabama even when they're having a down season.

When KJ was hit going around right end in the fourth quarter of the Bama game and hurt his shoulder, that cost Auburin the second UGA game.
GusBus didn’t trust his second string RB to finish the game that was already won.
Too bad.
And he signed for 7 for 49.

Honestly as an outsider and someone who has watched both over the years, you guys are about the same historically speaking -- this over the last 40 years or so.
